Good news on the sponsorship front.

Is there any news on the firmness of the calendar? Specifically if the Silverstone round is still taking place on the Coronation Weekend, it is suspiciously missing from the Silverstone website.
Has anyone heard anything about Silverstone for that weekend?

Did anyone just do what normal people do and pay to get in, jeez or is this special club for rich people only!
If you would like free tickets just ask! Obviously the VIP stuff goes very quickly to PHer clients of IM, but we try to sort things for everyone where we can! smile
Infrequent poster here but absolutely love that you do this for forum members Julian.

The Silverstone round thing is very odd, unless they’re thinking of moving it to Sunday/ Monday, or there’s something else not Coronation related going on.
Saturday/ Sunday for me please, nice 3 hour race, don’t mind if moved from Silverstone, have always fancied that meeting but it been when I’ve been at Le Mans in the past

The 'missing' Silverstone round on the Jubillee Bank Holiday weekend is now listed on the website:

https://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/intelligent-m...

No timetable, but listed as 6th and 7th, so not moved to the Monday or anything like that.

I see that RAM racing have signed up Raffa Marciello to drive for them this season.

Having him an Gounon both competeting against each other in BGT this year is amazing, probably the two best GT drivers out there currently.

So first race of the season tomorrow. Full 36 car grid should be exciting especially with rain forecast.

Was hoping for nice weather seeing as I'm taking my 5 year old so could do with the weatherman being wrong!

Watching this series for the first time via the stream on Youtube. Some great racing, I’ll definitely be following from now on!

I've watched some of the older videos online via the same site and like you, watched it today via livestream. Good racing and i have to say, i suspect a bit of gamesmanship on the part of Gounon but i'm happy to be proved wrong.

Cold and wet but enjoyed it . Some support races utterly ruined by safety car deployment , sometimes for nearly the whole race . There has to be a better way than this nonsense . Back to GTs, the sheer bulk of the cars seem to get bigger every year, making a perfectly decent circuit look narrower than it is. And, as is now traditional, every car in GTs looked like its livery was designed by Stevie Wonder after one too many shots .

A good couple of races with plenty of weather to keep them on their toes.

I'm liking the retro 'D2' DTM livery on the Loggie Mercedes.

Gounon and Marciello seemed to be in a class of their own in race 2.

I need to watch it back on youtube as from the circuit I haven't a clue what happened to Marciellos car after the pit stops, it went from 5s behind to 5s ahead then lost ~20s in a lap.

The GB3 race prior to BGT race 2 was ridiculous with the safety car, was there even a racing lap completed?

The 'am' driver took it very steady for the first lap or two out of the pits.

Not from where I was standing. It is beyond absurd that teams , marshals and spectators have spent well into seven figures between them to watch motor racing and we get a low speed procession. Can you imagine the crowd's reaction if a similar process was introduced for , say , the Grand National - finishing the race behind a pace horse because one fell ? Cue rioting , bookmakers fighting - my, what larks ...

The 15 Merc jumped the 1 car in the pitstops and then got a 1 sec stop/go for a pitstop minimum time infringement. It is really difficult to keep track of what is happening at the circuit though especially during the longer races unless you are stood somewhere that you can actually hear the trackside commentary.

Weather was grim for large parts of the day but still enjoyed my first trip to Oulton Park and a British GT event.
