I presume the Balfe Audi deal has gone dud, did they blow the motor up or something? not seen them for a bit.
I was wondering what happened to Balfe, I noticed they’ve not been on the grid for most of the season. I was planning on getting the set of A6 poster cards on Saturday and getting them signed by the GT3 and GT4 winners Sunday but failed at the first hurdle with the first round winners not on the entry list.(forgot about this thread - posted some thanks on the investment one here!)
It was a superb day out, blessed with amazing weather for mid-October!
Great hospitality at SMO & with Nik - nice to have a natter, cheers!
Obviously a lot of great racing, but also with a few "you can't park it there mate" moments"
Tickled to find a smiling Ainsley on the pit walk, compared with last year's cardboard cutout (apologies to the ladies, I have no idea who they are, but he did the best smile for them!)
& the grid walk was of course full of beautiful machinery....er.....
I learned how to repair a busted panel with a hole punch and some zip ties:
& of course, plenty of exotica in the paddock - personal fave was the Bizzarrini, but plenty to chose from:
Thanks again to Nik & the SMO team, & the support of Julian & IM behind the scenes, organising & setting things up: cheers!
