Dallara SF19 or F2 Purchase?

Some of the Panoz that were used in Superleague Formula ran with some success in BOSS GP, although most drivers seem to opt for a Dallara GP2 car, a World Series Renault car or an Auto GP car if they can't stretch to running a former Formula 1 car.

The reality is it will never happen. Buy an old formula ford and try re-engineering it to hold a V8, a Rover V8 might fit, then expand your plans....

Alternatively the older GP2 cars come onto the market at somewhere between £ 150,000 and £ 250,000 depending on what engine life is remaining and spares package. Finding somewhere to run one of these will be difficult, Donington run noisy test days.

Otherwise you could get the Rodin FZed from New Zealand at US$ 650,000 or Tour de Force F1 at circa £ 850,000

Thanks for the answer mate part of the few that read the question properly and saw the "theoretical" part. The rodin fzed is the dream isn't it.

Lola T96/50 combined with a Aud 5,2 l V10 and VAG gearbox, completely DIY in a garage (he is really good at building stuff though). Any competent race car builder should be able to do something similar, based on an ex race car that you can find on racecarsdirect.

This guys previously had both alfa twin turbo, and a supercharged/turbocharged engine in his formula cars, but the v10 is the best yet!

If you want a V10, then a Judd V10 is circa £ 50,000 plus electronics. It'll need a rebuild every 3000km. Either buy a GP2 car as a driveable car and fit the engine, but you won't get much change if any from £ 300,000.

Or if you've got more cash lying around, a new F2 car is supposely € 500,000 less engine. Not sure if that includes a gearbox either. Engines are often leased.
