Feels crazy writing round 7 and mid October!

Anyways, Butcher’s Focus is back in the game. Rivett taking over from Jiggy in the Tradeprice Audi S3, Bushell in the HARD CC.

MINI Challenge Cooper class are back supporting.

Porsche Cayman support series also guesting this weekend.

Should be an interesting weekend of racing, whilst Croft has traditionally been a RWD circuit, that hasn’t always panned out this year, FWD is definitely a lot closer than previous seasons.

Also its a lot colder than it normally is in its usual slot in mid summer the rwd cars also takes longer to get heat in the tyres and with the latest boost cut off the line could make it a lot closer. Still expect a turks/Sutton show down with maybe cammish as a outsider.

It's also back on ITV4 this weekend.

Nice interview with Ollie about his win here too - http://www.btcc.net/2020/10/08/ollie-jackson-i-was...

Good video from motorbase on rebuilding Butchers car, just hope it is straight enough to keep up with the title fight.

No reason at all why Butchers car shouldn't be as good as before. They're all built on jigs and the suspension is attached to bolt on subframes front and back which they would have replaced entirely I would expect.

Feel really bad for Ingram. Cracking lap but the rules is the rules.

Wookie. I know your probably busy but my wife asked me a question and I have no answer so maybe you can help.

Compared to the F1 cars which are pulling 5+ lateral g what sort of g forces is the focus pulling both in the wet and the dry.

All the best for tomorrow. Here’s hoping you have another great weekend.

Have a look at the pole laps here - https://www.youtube.com/c/BTCCofficial/search?quer...

They all have a g meter on the screen.

No probs! The BTCC cars have a lot of lateral for a car with no real aero but they’re still only just about pushing 2G absolute peak, really 1.5G mostly

Fastest thing I’ve ever driven was a Ginetta G57 which is basically an LMP3 car with more power and downforce which managed about 3G, nearly 4G absolute peak. Managed a class win and 2nd overall sharing the car with a mate at a VdeV Proto race at Mugello a couple of years ago

Made the touring car feel like a Nissan Micra and was brutal to the point I actually injured my back and neck so badly that I temporarily lost some sensation in my arms about a week later. It was pretty humbling to see the F1 cars going round Mugello thirty, fking THIRTY seconds a lap faster earlier in the year!!

Thanks for taking the time to answer Ollie. Really appreciate it. I thought they might be nudging 3g with the big wing and spliters etc. When you say 30+ seconds faster than an already pretty fast Ginetta for an F1 car it really does highlight just how fast an F1 car is and how physically fit the drivers are.

Good luck for tomorrow.

No probs! Nah the cars are all matched in terms of downforce in the wind tunnel and the wings actually have very little angle of attack

It appears there is some saltiness developing in the relationship with WSR.

From reading other tweets, it appears Andy feels somewhat airbrushed out of their campaign last year.

He’s always been fairly frank about stuff on Twitter.

Gutted for Tingram and Proctor, this really could put Tingram out of the title fight frown

Great to see Butcher back out - is he using the same shell that he went showjumping in at Silverstone?!

Best of luck Wookie!

Not without reason to be fair, they've done a few posts about each round from last year this season and not even mentioned him. Haven't seen any other team giving drivers quite such a fk you for pulling out this season

Hard not to praise the guy after that.

He's a class above everyone in the field.

Finishing 5th despite a spin not worthy of any praise then? Preceded by a charge from last place to 2nd at Silverstone?

He's one of the all time greats.
