BTCC 2021 silly season rumour mill
Discussion
The OP suggested Ciceley would run the new Golf. It would be nice if they got some sort of backing from Mercedes to run as a manufacturer. The C-Class would look great, but probably a pipe dream in the current financial climate.
Matt Neal was considering retirement partly because of commercial issues with Honda. Which could mean either Honda want a better driver in his place (Sheddon), or more likely Honda are withdrawing and Team Dynamics need to find a driver with external funding.

The golf is too short I believe but they could run the cla which I think fits in with the regs.Matt Neal was considering retirement partly because of commercial issues with Honda. Didn't expect that brave move one less model of car on the grid though but the audi have never really proven a good car to date.http://www.btcc.net/2020/11/12/trade-price-cars-ex...

It's never been with a team/driver who has the cash to test and develop it as much as needed unfortunately. On other news jake hill re-signs for next year same team wonder if it will be with a new car the fk2 civic got to be one of the oldest chassis on the grid.

Yep sadly that is the case bobby Thompson got some good results specially at croft before the big crash.

AFAIK it is the oldest car on the grid. Even older than the VW's. They can't use it after the 2022 season so it wouldn't make much sense to spend the money updating it to the hybrid rules for one season. They say the choice they're faced with is get a new car for next season and have a year getting used to it before the hybrid rules or stick with the FK2 and doing all the learning at the same time everyone else is to a lesser extent. On other news jake hill re-signs for next year same team wonder if it will be with a new car the fk2 civic got to be one of the oldest chassis on the grid.

Heard a few rumours today
1. Cicely are going to be running two 3 Series next season.
2. Tom Chilton is moving to WSR to drive their third 3 Series.
3. One of the teams has been sold. This is pretty much a done deal and I don’t know if I’m meant to tell anyone so I’m not going to say anymore right now. But a team has been sold

Yes, that was Trade Price Cars, they were trying to sell the team all year. See all the posts above. And why "would you not be meant to tell anyone" and then come onto PH and tell everyone?Sammo123 said:
