Good to see a big sponsor livery on an M-Sport car again, hopefully the support continues with Fourmaux in the '22 WRC car.
I would imagine Red Bull are actually sponsoring the athlete, rather than the team - so wherever he goes, he'll have the RB livery. Will be like in 2017, when Ogier had the RB livery, but Tanak didn't, as he's not a RB athlete.

Arnage, the Ogier thing was initially because the VW thing was dumped, so they paid him first year I believe, and all his contracts would stipulate Red Bull being here and there etc.

They left very quickly after he did.

I've said Tanak, Rovanpera, Ogier.

Good time by Breen on the first one.

Exactly, they sponsor the athlete/driver - not the team.....

motorsport never really got over the gap that the loss of fag money created 10 or 15 years ago when it was banned outright.

Massively unpredictable splits throughout! Very close.

Keep you 35243 mile rallies and 20 retirements, this is way more interesting wink

Superb stages.

Oliver Solberg is attacking each stage with confidence just like his Dad did.

As the leaders close on each others times someone must take that tiny gamble on a bend or crest for the extra second which could mean a win or disaster.

The rally Sweden organisers must be worried by how well this winter rally is going. You'd think the Wrc promoters will be telling them to either move further north next year, or lose it.

I think the WRC Promoters have proven that they take no notice of an events history; if a new event can prove they can run an event, and show the right £$£$£$£$, they'll get a WRC round.

How have they proven that?

Wales has disappeared of the calendar for a few reasons..

History is the past, and so far Estonia and this rally have proven that the future is bright.

A bit disappointed that they didn't want to send the snowplow before the first car on Friday despite being asked by a few competitors, that did put Ogier out of contention straight away. Could have been even more tense at the front.

Great great drive by Tänak!
Solberg, awesome, Katsuta great, well, so many great drives over all.

Delighted for Breen, shows why he should be in the WRC, to be fourth on snow is immense given Ireland doesn't even get a foot of it!

Really want to see how he'll do on a full tarmac event in one of these cars.

Solberg was very very fast on that last stage, but just as I was telling my brother he can be a bit wild (which is a given due to his age and inexperience so no issue there) he went into the bank! Really very exciting, I was very happy with the coverage there as well, delighted that they put the interviews on the small screen and didn't switch away from the action, it made for fantastic viewing!

Hopefully, Solberg and Rovanpera match each other for the foreseeable future, as if one or the other gets ahead, they could dominate for a very long time and that's something the WRC doesn't need!

It's a sad day when the passing of rally giant doesn't even warrant a mention on PH's primary rally thread.

Poor form all. frown
