Why are you bothering to post on a BTCC chat thread then?
How else is he going to tell you that he doesn’t like it?

I guess for many years i did, I think the last time I went to watch was about 2007 ish! My point being that as with a lot of series they can get new fans but lose old ones.

After a great camping trip with my nephews at Goodwood FoS, we're thinking to do a BTCC weekend. looking at Donington, Thruxton or Outlon Park. Any pointers/tips? I'll be taking my T5+awning. Oulton seems favourite - £29 camping pp, no pitch fee listed compared to Donington at 29 each PLUS pitch fee (40/125). No prices for Thruxton yet.

Never been before so advice/pointers/tips appreciated from seasoned BTCC campers.

Do it, there is a lot in the program. Have done the September at Silverstone camping getting there Friday afternoon, only pain is they don't open up all the stands... but the stands are free so...

Thruxton is my favourite to camp at (we travel from the other end of the country for it), pitches are marked out, grass is cut and the field is level. They even have evening entertainment on the Saturday night.

Donnington I go to maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I have never camped but a friend of mine took his son for the BTCC last year, whilst the camping is good (within the actual circuit itself), its right next to the airport and planes were flying in and out all night, the pair of them barely slept.

Oulton is on my to do list.

Oulton is very good - well organised pitches, well cut grass and pretty level (although it's not billiard-table smooth).

Track is fantastic, facilities decent, good spectating everywhere.

Thruxton weekend I'm off to le mans.... looks great in June.

1st world problems.... if I can sleep at le mans, I'm tempted by Donnington.. did a Gt round in the nineties, and rode it with Ron Haslam.

Tempted to go back to see

Sponsor wise maybe, but this coming weeks has a bit more to it.

Indeed, it should make up for the long spell of quietness wink

A driver who is easily identifiable from their hands. Otherwise why would they have gloves on?

Ronan Pearson confirmed as making the move up from JCW Mini class, stays with Excelr8 and takes a seat in a Hyundai.

I know this kid, I really hope it goes well for him driving

I had to look him up as I'd never heard of him.

Junior record looks patchy, with no signs of being a future world beater, however he has won a couple of races in the supporting MINI championship , so he's worth a go.

we booked Oulton! Doesn't seem to be much info - I can't even see if it is Fri and Sat or just Sat night. Haven't booked any grandstands yet but will.
