Spot on DanCan,
There really are some wombles on hear that comment without any real thought or substance to back it up with, your stats as mentioned say it all.
Hope your staying for a while in BTCC as we need good clean RACERs that have really talented ability
What is it with BTCC fans when they are around drivers, all it takes is a driver to look sideways in their direction and ye drop yer trousers! The amount of fawning over drivers on here who post the odd time is embarrassing. its really weird, I have never seen anything like it on any other motorsport forum. There really are some wombles on hear that comment without any real thought or substance to back it up with, your stats as mentioned say it all.

Not at all Acer12,No history of doing of the sort, wild assumption , if you bother to look at the thread then it’s completely the oppersite, DanCam did not ‘look sideways’ at my comment , I commented on what he said. If your doing to try and call me out like the post I was talking about , get the facts correct in the first place..
Just don’t like the way forum poster put thing out there with no substance
I’m not even a fan of DabCam (no offence) , but I appreciate talent when I see it, and being respectful of people within the mists of the sport we love taking time to interact when they don’t need to.
If you’re going to post in a forum of a particular serise about a particular driver, that is actually active within it at least have some facts and substance about it.
Just caught up on race 3 what a fantastic end to the season terrific racing/wet driving really enjoyed that.
Watched race one live on tv ( Ash was very unlucky in what was a racing accident)
Watched race 2 last night what a performance from TImgram.
Finally caught up on race 3 this eve what a brilliant drive from Jake Hill really deserved that one a champions drive. Looked like it was going to be Ingrams win from the start of race 3 that was a great battle.
I think either Ingram or Hill would have been deserving champions and nice to see Hill win his first BTCC crown .
DanCam and Aaron T Smith had great pace in race 3.
And good to see such good sportsmanship at the eve with the congratulations to Jake and his family.
DanCam always good to see your comments just ignore the daft comments would be great if you could get some of the other drivers to add their thoughts on here I think it adds a lot to these threads to get some comments from you guys.
Looking forward to next years series!

I do apologise if I have started some turmoil in the group.
I don’t expect anyone to change their opinion of me just because I post in the group.
I post in this group because I am a genuine car enthusiast and I thought this might be a place to speak with likeminded people.
I am far from perfect. I know there’s times where I could have done better. But also this year I know how hard I have worked and how much effort the team has put in.
So when I saw that comment I bit and I shouldn’t have.
I hope you all enjoyed the season and let’s see what 2025 brings.

I was falling out with the series last season but this year has been a breath of fresh air, great racing with a knife edge conclusion, think you'll find most contributors appreciate your contribution on here. It's easy for desktop drivers to criticise, they aren't at the sharp end hoping and praying it all comes together ; weather, tyre choice, set up, being taken out by another car etc.
I can skilfully spin a twin engined Kart in the wet on a straight, makes you appreciate what we watch you lads do.
Jake's resume at the end of the transmission on Sunday shows the dedication you all must have needed at some time and then only one can win too !
Cheers and thanks for posting.
Enjoyed this season as I do all the others. Managed to check out the racing at Croft again this year too. Congrats to Jake. Thanks to Tom and Ash for some exhilarating driving from the back on a number of occasions.
Just wanted to say many congrats to Dan Zelos, who made the conversion from Mini JCWs to touring cars with ease and I hope he gets a permanent seat next year.

Contributions from a driver at the sharp end of the BTCC will be appreciated by the majority of people on this tread. Unfortunately there will always be those who want to dismiss the hard work, talent, and achievements of others. That’s just life.I don’t expect anyone to change their opinion of me just because I post in the group.

Thanks for your comments here. Good luck to you, and your competitors, for next year.

A question if I may, assume most if not all of the drivers in the BTCC have a normal day to day job as well as the BTCC driver, the assumption being based on there on being 10 race weekends a year with limited testing.
I am right with that assumption?
Other than the grid being slightly smaller and some of the cars being quite old, and not really representative of what's in the showrooms now, I really enjoyed this year.
A decent finale, with a final race shootout between two good and worthy potential champions. A season where different cars seemed strongest at different times. Slightly less of the old bumper cars routine and more hard but fair racing. Not much in there not to like.
Personally I find the hybrid allocation as a replacement for success ballast slightly confusing ... but not to the point it detracts from my enjoyment of the racing ... and I understand how it helps slather the act of burning petrol while driving in circles with a nice green veneer.
A few more cars on the grid, a few newer shape cars to replace those that are no longer relevant, the same great drivers returning next year along with some new fresh faces, and then 2025 would be even better than 2024! Here's hoping at least some of that wish list happens.

Not often I’m left speechless but here we are.
Based on what exactly? My 55 career podiums. Finishing joint 4th with Colin, 9 podiums and after race 2 on Sunday coming within 10 points of Ash Sutton. A guy you probably rank as an all time great.
So how on earth do you come to that conclusion.
Not to mention that anyone from 7th and below was over 100 points behind 6th. But I’m uncomfortable
Dont be too uncomfortable Dan, it was a great season all round and looking forward to cheering you on next year.!Based on what exactly? My 55 career podiums. Don't think we'll see any new cars in 2025. Alliance are replacing the Focus for 2026 with a new manufacturer and PMR will need to replace the Astra by the end of 2026. New regs coming in for 2027 which are an evolution of the current ones so I wouldn't expect much to happen before then.A few more cars on the grid, a few newer shape cars to replace those that are no longer relevant, the same great drivers returning next year along with some new fresh faces, and then 2025 would be even better than 2024! As for more cars on the grid Gow has said he's happy to have a grid of 24 cars so again I wouldn't expect any big changes. Tenders have been put out for two 2 car teams so lets see if anyone bites on those.
