Along with the extra cars & driver changes at the fastest circuit... it should be a good one.
(And the Weather looking good too).

Plenty of action in the quali sessions. Charles Rainford was VERY lucky.
That could have been a 'biggie'.

Just turned on the ITV coverage to see a different presenter. Has Nicki Shields been replaced?

Not replaced, she's in Tokyo doing Formula E, so Oli Bell is standing in for this weekend due to the schedule clash.

Well done Josh & Toyota.
Good race for Plato Racing.

Proper racing...just proves that you don't need 'oodles of HP & 'gimmicks' for excitement.
(Hopefully the 'Juniors' will follow in the same vein).

Just catching up on what I missed during the F1.

Agree with what has been said about the Minis. Brilliant.
Small simple cars with modest power. Driven by drivers who know how to get the most out of them. And who are not afraid to race millimetres apart.

Looking at Tingram being interviewed now, with that haircut and facial hair is he after a NASCAR drive?

I think it’s much better without the tyre stacks at the chicane. Less carnage. If someone cuts the corner, give them a penalty, not a broken car.

But the BTCC boys still managed to create a multi car incident.

Shame Rockingham is now a car compound.
There again, I suppose that the Touring Cars are micro NASCAR in design.
(He definitely isn't as 'Chirpy' this year).

So Ingram guilty of a false start (for reversing on the grid)

Only a 5 second penalty so result not affected as he finished 5.6 in front of Sutton

thumbup Phew.... that's good news.
(Escaped by skin of teeth... Perhaps they need a new grid spotter).

I really think not having any manufacturer involvement makes it less interesting and harder to get excited about. I'm not going to harp on about a return to the glory days, but just a couple would be nice. As far as I can tell this year is the first year for I don't know how long that there is no manufacturer involvement for any team.

I wish the reverse grid race was a full reversal, last to first instead of drawing out a bingo ball etc.

I hate the boost, it's a bit like F1, just push the button. At least the amount of boost is staggered. I think they should get rid of boost, and have no penalising system at all. But what would be fun is race 1 is run as per usual via qualifying (not a quali race) race 2 is a fully reversed grid and race 3 is a lottery, literally random order.
