Deserves a penalty imho, Mosca (rightly) got a penalty for pushing the #2 off track, what Guven did was the same, just lower speed due to it being the hairpin.Between him and Mosca the #2 has been proper beaten up, they've had bad luck this year with that car, so good to see them survive.
I'm big fan of easing doors open into a corner, and easing the other vehicle out to the edge, but with no contact.

Anyway race done, a great win, some great racing and some awful driving as is often the case in w 24 H race.
Amazing jobs form all finishing teams, officials and marshals, that must have been a tough one to manage for most of the week, truly hideous conditions really.

I’ve just booked a flight.. £50 return. Was in Milan recently, didn’t go to monza, but public transport was excellent around the city and there looks to be a decent link up to the circuit. Monza by train from Milan central station is a doddle and cheap, I recall it was 20 minutes or so.
Getting from the station to the track is a 30 minutes walk or a long wait for a bus (I did both).
I'm told it's a similar distance from the Montmelo train station to the Circuit in Barcelona.
I'll find out in October.

The railway line from north Milan to the east of the park only runs once an hour on Sundays. I use VillaSanta. Do not use the station by the Lesmos as the tunnel to the track was closed for recent WEC and SRO meetings. You then have to walk either to 1st chicane or Ascari to get in. There are more frequent trains from Monza town station but that is a very long walk to the circuit. When I went to WEC in summer of 2023 there was no publicised transfer buses

There were buses from Monza town station to the 2023 race, but they were infrequent, regular service buses, rather than specific event shuttle buses, that were incredibly overcrowded on a very hot day and got caught up in the race traffic - I got off with a couple of other English visitors who'd been to the track the previous day and walked the last mile or so, far quicker...I walked back!
You can rent e-Bikes cheaply, which might be a good idea (assuming there any available at the station when you get there...)

Watching Imsa right now.
Nearly every endurance round this year has followed the same pattern.
The early laps are blighted by very rich old men driving lmp2 cars way beyond their ability and causing numerous stoppages, I have now seen Field do this twice this year, Faramo goes ot nearly every round, and others are not much better.
There are 5 or 6 that are decent, know their pace and limits, but just like it was with LMP3 these rich dentists frequently destroy the flow of races and cause immense damage to cars.
They pay for it obviously, thst is the sole reason they are there.
Bit bit does get tiring year after year watching these silly men trying to be 25 again and ruining races like this. They can not drive cars like this properly, so why do it, you have GT3 ffs, cars purposely designed for crap amateurs to cope easier
