As a member of the Eclipse team, I too would love know which rules they are breaking...
The thing is, they aren't. They take the regs to the limit in a couple of areas, but fundamentally the Mosler is a very straightforward car that just happens to have good aero, good balance and a very torquey engine. Undoubtedly, though, they are stupidly fast: Balfe's fastest lap at Knockhill was 9/10ths of a second faster than Suggie's best last year - in the Porsche that won the FIA race at Enna at the weekend - and it was acheived on lap 2!
In terms of raw pace, we aren't far off the Rollcentre car, but the Balfe version - certainly at the weekend - really was in a different league. We know why that was, but sadly it was perfectly within the rules.
However, if you'd like to send me a private message explaining which bits of the car I should pay close attention to at Silverstone, I'd be delighted to hear from you...

As Ted states, dangerous legislative waters you're entering there tiggs.
It is ultimately the responsibility of the scrutineer to determine whether the cars are within the stated rules (& the Moslers are).
The gent from Eclipse has summed the situation up pretty well - they are not the most powerful cars, but they are able to brake later and carry speed well through and out of corners - not the general pre-conceived view of most, which is that they are just brute cars.
Mr Short has been particularly careful to ensure that the car does not flout the rules - after all, his livelihood depends upon it.

'Scottish' actually. Not only do we have better scenery and better roads than the rest of the 'British', we have an extra 'T' too.
Oh, and we've got a 'capital' too - it's 'S' or 'Edinburgh'.
