Is it just me, or is NASCAR really boring?

NASCAR does get really tedious, but I've enjoyed the IRL this year - some amazing races, incredibly tight finishes and added British interest with Dan Wheldon.
Might be a bit like drag racing - you really need to physically be at the track to appreciate it. Drag racing especially doesn't translate well to TV, but when you're there it's amazing. Mind you, I went to an ASCAR race at Rockingham earlier in the year, and it was so dull I went home.

Seems that NASCAR is so interesting 
There's even a campaign to stop Britney appearing in a film about it
