i think damon hill said he drove an a3 diesel on top gear.
Black Audi R8 when he popped into Brands to keep an eye on Josh's ever-improving FF antics a few weeks ago - but maybe the A3 was in for a service and it was a loaner..Sadly I'm old enough to remember watching his old man pitching up at Silverstone in the Embassy-liveried Ogle Aston Martin.

I used to talk about this car and people used to give very strange glances...
Glad you know what it was

Like this, only I'm sure it was dark blue...
Exactly right - dark blue with gold pinstripes. Tobacco company W.O.Wills provided the financial backing for the project so it was decided that the car's paintwork should reflect the newly announced (and ill-fated) "Sotheby" brand of their cigarettes. When the brand failed the car was repainted in the white/red stripes of the more familiar and successful "Embassy" brand. Of course GH then landed Embassy sponsorship for his Shadow > Lola > Hill F1 team and I guess that's how he and Bette found themselves sat in this unusual 3 seater Aston.
Jean Alesi used to own & regularly drive a 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Torpedo formerly owned by Ettore Bugatti. Jean sold it last year .
I know Rene Arnoux when he drove for Ferrari also used to drive a Rolls Royce ..
Button currently has a Mercedes CLK DTM AMG, Ferrari Enzo, Audi RS6 Avant, BMW M5 and a Mercedes C63 AMG.
He has also owned a Ferrari F430 Spider, Ferrari 360, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Ford GT and Porsche Carrera GT..
