I got mightily annoyed when I heard (or thought I heard) Legard saying that the Brazilian crowd are the most enthusiastic F1 crowd. Has he never been to Silverstone!?!?!? The muppet.
I doubt he's ever been in the grandstands at Silverstone, and to be fair they are so far away from the track you can't hear them from the commentary box...
confused The Commentary boxes at Silverstone are right on top on one of the Grandstands! smile

I was at Brands in 87 for Mansell's first GP win and it all depended on whether he could get out of the pits in front of some Brazillian driver - name escapes me at the moment, but he had a very famous son. We could not see the pit exit but, despite it being the days of turbo charged engines, we heard the cheering over the engines at the bottom straight.

And as for knowledgeable: I used to love going to Club. The crowd there knew everything about F1. I used to be called a bit of an F1 nerd so it was good to stand with people who were overcome with their enthusiasm. Despite not being in their league I felt at home.

Bit of a dumb comment from Legard because I could see some of the stands were half empty...

Not a Lewis Hamilton fan by any means, but no-one deserves that for simply doing their job. Poor reflection on the fans.

They threw nuts at him? Is that a reference to monkey? If so, how come there is not a LOT more being made of this? Imagine if a Brit had done this?

Rubens was a fantastic loser, I was most impressed with him.
It was a racist issue. In Brazil the most common racist term to describe a black person is 'macaco' and guess what monkeys eat. For the "stop the hysteria mob" on the board, all I can say is next time you are in Brazil call a Brazilian "macaco" and see what happens. if you are lucky they'll call the Police and you'll be arrested, otherwise you'll get lynched.

Indeed.

I've got the programme and got him to sign it at the GP Masters at Silverstone. Better late than never.

Given the ethnic mix in Brazil it's very unlikely it was racialy motivated, far more likely to be a pissed Brazilian thinking that hamilton ruined RB's race and therefore championship hopes with the puncture
According to white/whitish Brazilians they don't have racism, just snobbery.

Cleverly omitted from the iPlayer interview. I tried searching for it earlier, because I watched it on Sky +, and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.
Thanks for the youtube clip.

If they threw something at JB, there would be uproar, anyway I cant wait until next year when Hamilton regains his title, expect Jenson to be back where he usually was

If Brawn churn out a cr@p car yes.

Otherwise - were you not watching the Grand Prix this weekend?

Of course I was, why would I be on here posting about it otherwise?

Do you really expect brawn to have another year with such an advantage over the bigger teams? i think you are the ones who are clueless, Hamilton vs Alonso? Yes I can see that happening, but Jenson will be nowhere to be seen, come back and read my comments next year after the first GP will you

When Mclaren finally did give Lewis a half decent car from Germany onwards,Button started looking average, actually he looked average from the British GP,at least lewis had an excuse at his home race, his car was 5hit ,have you not been watching?Lewis has scored twice as many points as JB in the 2nd half of the season.

I think he has scored more points than other any other driver over the secod half of the season to be honest. Kimi is second behind him i believe.

Also bare in mind the stupid points that he has lost:-
Puncture at Germany on first Corner
Loseing 6 in Australia
Getting rammed at Spa
Putting it into the barriers at Monaco(Q1) and Monza(last lap)
