Best road you've found lately?

As per the title, what's the best road you've discovered in, say, the last few months?
For me I think it's the B660 between Kimbolton and Glatton. I know Evo is always harping on about it, but it wasn't until I ended up staying nearby that I had an excuse to try it out.
By any standards it's a pretty good road. There's a nice mix of corners from fast sweepers to 90-degree zigzags and some reasonable straights where you can get past dawdlers. But the best bit is the fact it's lightly trafficked and well-sighted, so you can tackle it with more commitment than would be wise on a lot of B-roads.
All the roads around kimbolton are excellent for hooning. Great combo as you say, of corners and openness. For me I think it's the B660 between Kimbolton and Glatton. I know Evo is always harping on about it, but it wasn't until I ended up staying nearby that I had an excuse to try it out.

I'm not sure if this counts, but I 'discovered' what would be one of the best moorland roads in Britain - certainly England - the other day. The only downside is it's on the New Forest, which means a blanket 40mph limit, wandering ponies and hoards of even slower moving tourists.
Unfortunately my OH was navigating and I'm not entirely sure where it was, I think it was Burley Road in between Brockenhurst and Burley (on to the A31):

I'll make no apologies for tabling the best road I've found lately being a motorway.
I had a mid-tender meeting last Friday in Grimsby, and travelling from Telford the trip looked long-ish but easy. So: A5, M6 Toll, back on A5 near Tamworth, M42, A42, M1. So far, so disappoint.
Then, I leave the M1 and join the M18 which then becomes the M180. Not since discovering the M74 and M55 many years ago have I used quieter M-Ways with such long straights. As most of the M-Ways I use are more often than not absolutely heaving, the M18 and M180 were a stress-free joy. Compare and contrast with the M6 South this afternoon. A site visit from Wolves to Aston, which normally takes half an hour to get to, took nearly 2 due to an accident and subsequent total borkage of the M6.
Aah the M55, a pointless little Motorway but whenever I go on it which is pretty often it feels like the M1 must have in the 60's........then in 10 miles you hit the M6 and it all goes tits up again!I had a mid-tender meeting last Friday in Grimsby, and travelling from Telford the trip looked long-ish but easy. This isn't a new discovery as such, but for the first time in ages I drove the B1004 from Ware to Bishops Stortford. It's a superb road with a couple of wonderfully tight hairpins under the trees early on and a classic stretch of winding British B-road to finish.
If you're in that area, the B180 from Stanstead Abbotts is worth a look too. And perhaps surprisingly so is Hollycross Road that runs from Stanstead Abbotts to a junction near the start of the B1004. As far as I can see on Google it's an unclassified road, but it's actually wider and better surfaced than a lot of B-roads.

I used to live off the B1004 and used to drive to Stansted Abbotts along Hollycross Road to the station. It is a good road and I learnt it very well over the 13 years I lived there.
And I used to live by the B660 in Keysoe when I was a child.
However at the weekend I did the Stelvio Pass for the first time, in an NSX. We did the Stelvio, the Reschenpass, Hantennjoch and the Fussen. The Stelvio was utterly magic.

Well, not so much newly found, but I love random back roading in my very un PH 206. Good ones nearish my home include the B664 Uppingham to Market Harborough, B676/A151 Melton to Bourne, of course the B660 (even tho my run today was spoilt by a convoy of tractors), the B645 from Rushden to the 660 isn't bad either. Probably many more I can't remember, love random back roads.
The a1071 in Suffolk. This isnt a new discovery for me but its such a nice countryside drive. Lots of twisty bits and some long corners as well. I only drive it late evening else you just get stuck behind a trail of Cauliflower heads in their Nissan Micras doing 20.

One of the best bit of roads i've found lately is from Hexham down through Blanchland which brings you out at the top of Crawlyside bank it's great then if you head to Conset that pretty good as well
Came back from one of our Scotland trips through Kielder. Then B roads all the way from Bellingham-Wark-Humshaugh-Fourstones-Hexham-Blanchland-Stanhope-Eggleston-Barnard Castle. Came round the corner past the church in Blanchland and found myself driving through a film set! Was pressed for time so didn't stop to enquire what they were producing.vgrey said:

Certainly some of my favourites, used to live near Kettering, so spent a lot of time on those roads.I've discovered that there are some great roads on the Western Isles, hardly any traffic and stunning scenery. A lot of the roads also seem to have been resurfaced properly, rather than just having the tar and stones treatment the roads get down here.
Just been on a great trip around County Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland and took in the B6277 from Middleton in Teesdale to Alston, it's a superb stretch of road. I then went up the A689 and looped back around and down to do the Hartside Pass from just north of Penrith back to Alston, the pass is absolutely stunning. Great day out, I then headed up to Hexham before heading back home through Blanchland and more great B roads.
Although it was a bit wet in places I didn't mind as the roads had very little traffic as a result.
