WELL DONE TO ALL WHO ENTERED THEIR PRIDE & JOY.

2. The CHARITY RAFFLE in aid of the ALZHEIMERS SOCIETY and DAISY CHAIN ( in support of Autistic children and families. ) All proceeds will be divided equally between the two worthy causes which were chosen by RayTVR’s wife Alison Hoy Thompson, who is currently walking from John O’Groats to Land’s End. An epic effort, since setting off on 1st June, she has to date walked over 660 miles. She has 440 miles left to achieve her goal, and is well on the way to achieving her targets.

Thanks to all who generously donated the fantastic raffle prizes and those who bought lots of raffle tickets.
The most coveted star prize was the extremely rare and valuable original S Series front indicator lamp assembly, brand new, still in its’ box, kindly donated by Simon. Just “WOW!!!” There were a lot of mouths gaping in astonishment, not to mention the drooling with avarice. It was deservedly won by RayTVR, who may or may not put it towards his pension fund.

THE TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED ON THE DAY WAS A VERY PLEASING SUM of £230.

3. THANKS to those who gave late donations at the end of the show as they had missed out on buying raffle tickets despite my best sales efforts!

4. A LITTLE EXTRA:
In addition to the raffle proceeds, a sum of £40 was handed to Ray at the show to pass onto Alison. This sum was donated as follows: £10 from SunnySu, £10 from Graham ( Ragtop ) and £20 collected at Barn Farm after our Saturday evening meal at the Red Lion.

5. UNCLAIMED PRIZES:
There are a few unclaimed prizes, so if you missed the draw, I hope you have kept your tickets: Any prizes unclaimed by 25th August 2017 will be entered into next year’s SCH charity raffle.

Green 184: S Club T-shirt ( small )
Yellow 348: Set of Flex-Head ratchet Ring/OE spanners ( including 17 mm essential for changing those tricky engine mounts )
Green 119 and 120: Pair of undated TVRCC/S Club Heaven Mugs.
Green 193: Hardback Book, ‘TVR: Ever the Extrovert’.
Green 321: Dashboard multi-socket Adaptor ( fits in cigar lighter socket to power your satnav, Go-Pro, dash cam or mobile phone charger lead.

Check your tickets folks and let me have your details if you are a lucky winner.

We will undertake to get them to you by S Club Couriers. ( S- Cargo Parcels? )

6. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS.

Thanks to TVR Parts, the sponsors of our S Club Heaven special mugs and stickers,

Thanks to the TVR Car Club for the generous donation of some of the lovely prizes and also funding the trophies.

Thanks to the Uxbridge Rotary Club, the organisers of the Uxbridge Auto Show for their hospitality and warm welcome and allowing us to share their superb event.
It certainly made our task much easier.

Finally thanks to all of you for attending the Show and making it a huge success.
Give yourselves a pat on the back.

6. AND NEXT... ???

Now to start preparing for next year’s event, which will see us in a northern location.
Watch this space....

Regards,
Alan & Glen.

Glen, Well done for a sterling effort to you and Alan.

Thanks again to all who contributed both in time and through the kind donations to the raffle and the buying of tickets.

The amount raised is a great result, and I have rounded it up and made a donation of £150 to each of the charities, which are 'Daisy Chain' supporting families of children with autism and the Alzheimer's society.

I'd like to pass on thanks on behalf of Alison, the amount raised will spur her on on her adventure as she heads through Wales with Cornwall and Lands end only a month away.

What makes our cars special is the people who own them, and it was a real pleasure to be with you all at the weekend and we look forward to many more events together with friends old and new.

Ray

I would like to offer a 'not showing up' donation to the charity, which is woefully underfunded! Maybe a 'lost wheel' fine should be mandatory!!!

Glen I have pm'd you!

The following received this last night from the intrepid Mrs. T

"I'd just like to say a huge thank you to you all for your amazing generosity. The donations to my chosen charities means I have almost reached my fund raising target and the charities involved are hugely grateful. I'm going to keep going of course, and hopefully can raise even a bit more.

Can't thank you all enough for the support. Looking forward to meeting you all again soon and I won't be turning up on foot!

Alison Thompson

Particular thanks to those who have been in touch since Sunday and further swelled the donations, so she is already passed the original target with more than £1100 being raised.

Best Regards
Ray

I was delighted to win 'Best S1' considering I never even entered it. My first trophy for a car! That's either because I never enter these things, or because my cars are st. Hmmm.....I have a competitive streak, I hope it doesn't turn into a 'thing'.

Thanks again for the event, had a great roof-off drive home in the car across the South Downs. Good memories.

As I've mentioned in a couple of places, I'm planning to auction off a shortshifter gearlever for a V6S to add into the charity pot, so we should be able to boost it further smile

Cheers

Great to see the photos guys - Can't quite believe I couldn't even get to an event a stone's throw away! I'm learning a few things about my car's history right now as it has open heart surgery. Its had some interesting work done in the past, making it a bit fiery. Will tell all in due course. Will be back in the mix soon. Pete
