Got a loose door mirror. Got the glass out and the back off. The brackets all look ok, but it looks like there is a boss fixed to the door and a grub screw that holds the mirror on this boss. Looks to me like that is loose.
My question is how on earth are you supposed to get to it to remove the mirror or tighten it?!!!!. I've shortened an allen key, but I still can't get on it because of the recess in the door and the blooming rubber cover thing IYSWIM.

Hi I tried to search but did not find it yet and was wondering if anyone could remember where to get the corrado mirrors? There was a thread last year and he bought a pair new, primed at a good price
QBee Where are you? I would guess a new, primed pair would be a VW dealer.
Mine came from a VW breakers yard in Derby, who had several pairs for sale.
There are a number of single mirrors for sale on EBay right now, about £30 each. More than one is from a seller in Runcorn, which might get you a matched pair.
You then either:
Fill in the hole in the door that took the Citroen mirror and fix the Corrado mirrors directly to the door.
Or buy the adaptors from Fibreon, TVR Power or Central TVR......but they are made by Fibreon whoever you get them from. They cost £90+, so more than the mirrors.
Then get the door buttons off your old ones (very slim nuts are what holds them in place), and drill and fit them to the new mirrors. I fitted them well back in the mirror body.
Then paint them to match the car, then fit them with nuts and bolts, and drill holes through for the wires.
The suss out how the six Corrado wires match the 5 Citroen wires. If you get to this stage I can tell you how mine were matched up. Mine work perfectly......except "up" on the driver's side moves the mirror down and vice versa!!
