With the wife's 30th birthday coming up next week, I started thinking about sourcing a watch for her.

I already have the 41mm Seamaster 300M which she has threatened to use for herself many times. I have managed to keep it away from her for the past 4 years!
With this in mind, I thought I would get her the reduced size 36.25mm version to make a his & hers set.

This was back in June 2017.

Placed a call to PH's trusted watch man, a Mr D Hackett.

He advised a lead time of 6 weeks and a great price (naturally).

Order was placed on the same day and the wait began.

Cut to last week, and the email from Dom comes through to inform that the watch is ready for delivery. Payment of balance settled.

I chose to collect the watch instead and have it sized correctly to fit ('stole' her daily watch to make sure the sizing was right).

Watch collected and now I'm waiting until the 24th to present it to her.

Hopefully she likes it...

Some pics of her new watch with mine:

As ever, a HUGE thanks to Dom H for sourcing the watch and making sure it arrived in time.
Top man as always and a gent to deal with.

Hopefully it all goes well on Monday...

A much more civilised size. I'm not sure the hands have quite scaled as I would like, but the rest of the watch is well executed. How does the bracelet and clasp feel? Still sturdy?

We've got the same watch smile

My wife used to wear a 42mm automatic Seiko which I bought for her a few years ago (which she loved) but it packed in. I bought a smaller sized watch as a replacement which still looks nice and chunky on her petite arms and wrist.

37mm CW

The bezel on it is much better than the Seamaster. Why do Omega make such a slippery bezel? I find it difficult to grip/turn sometimes depending on weather conditions.

My wife kept on about how nice my Seamaster 300 Pro was so in the end I bought her the Mid Size 36.2mm. She just loves it

Very much so.

Bracelet and clasp feel very solid.

It still has all the stickers on it, so I haven't used/tested the workings of the clasp much.

The few times I have opened and closed it, there is a definite solid click action to it.

What a lovely pair you have there! (the watches).

Bought me Mrs's watch for the very same reason.

Glad I'm not the only one that has gone and got a matching watch for their other half!

Prince William has the mid-size which was a present from his late mother. He always wears it.
