How hard can it be to fit a few signs, the Chineese can build a whole new motorway in the tenth of the time its took to do this shambles, and as for the lying tts saying its only a 6 month delay.

How can summer 2017 to summer 2018 be 6 months, no wonder they cant get anything to add up. I wouldn't mind but the only thing it will achieve is permanent reduced limits up and down like a yo-yo catching people out at 3 in the morning, the horrific queues will remain as bad as ever.

Highways Agency bosses need tying to a couple of lighting poles and left for 24 hours, their inability to project manage these so called improvements in a timely and progressive manner defies belief.
M6 in Cheshire is another nightmare!
Is it not possible to concentrate the labour in one localised area and then release it back to normal use?
Madness... rant over..

I know it won't happen, but the Highways Agencyy could have a look at what Network Rail have just done.
Major works at Waterloo Station; they could have stretched them over years of nights and weekends creating chaos, but no; they gave everyone loads of notice that the station would effectively be useless for a month, and as a result most of the journeys didn't happen at all- people knew what to expect and made other plans.
Result- no chaos and job done.
And I never thought I would be holding up Network Rail as a good example of anything!
