Hi guys, can you have a look at something ?
I'm talking about a roundabout in Glasgow, near Silverburn.
It's known to be deadly for cyclists and it's a prime example of how you shouldnt do roundabouts.
Now, have a look at how you drive from Barrhead Road to Brockburn Road

The last two images are showing what I'm talking about. That inside lane is the only lane which can be used to take that exit.
To me, it split's in a most stupid way I can imagine.
Is it just my lack of understanding or is it really a bad design ?

What do you guys think ?

The paint on the road implies that you can't take that exit at all!

Were I a cyclist, I'd be taking the paths/cycleways and avoiding the roundabout completely. As for drivers, the road markings aren't 100% clear but I suggest in the last but one photo the lane to the left of that indicated in red is the better one. I always try to leave a roundabout by the left hand lane when two or more are possible, there's no risk of vehicles cutting across in front.

Yeah, but then you have to change the lane and you are at risk of collision with someone driving how I marked it. And you will be at fault.

Your marked route in first photo is different from the others.

How so?

ETA: A 3 lane approach to 4No. 2 lane exits is never giong to be easy to mark. I can think of a number of variations that you could do but all will have their issues.

Left hand lane for turning left. Middle lane for straight ahead. Right hand lane for straight ahead or the 2 exits on the right (ie. after 12 o'clock). Fairly simple, surely?

Perhaps a bit more white paint spikes to stop people coming round from lane 2
