SW London to Wales - fun driving roads

Hi guys,

I have a new car coming this week, an M140i and I'd like to get out to some decent roads and see how it is. Nothing too crazy as I want to take it easy for the first 1000 miles.

I currently live in SW London and was thinking of heading towards Wales and driving around the Evo triangle. Embarrassingly I've never heard of this road before until I googled 'best driving roads in the UK'.

So I'm hoping I can poll the masses and get some advice please!

I want to do a 2 night stay in Wales and have fun hooning around twisties and nice straights, ideally some nice scenery and maybe a couple of nice restaurants along the route. Knowing feck all about Wales and good driving routes could the PH collective help and give pointers on a route please? I'll have my girlfriend with me so the nice restaurants are my way of keeping her happy!

Any advice would really be grateful, thank you.

Can't help with restaurants though I'm afraid. I'll have to leave it for others to plug that gap.
