It's not the longest, but I grew up loving the "Mad Mile" on the A217 between Sutton and Banstead - it got that name for an obvious reason. laugh

A46, north of Leicester... Fosse Way.

Was at school there... someone brought along The Rover Gas Turbine for demo runs, one afternoon...

The A377 in Devon has a long straight, starts at Morchard Bishop and is about 2 miles and quite well paved, I heard of a fella maxing his Fireblade every morning on the way to work and would reach TV long before the end of said straight. Also the A358 Chard to Axminster is straight and long at around 7miles. Also the A358 was originally paved by the Romans. There are good twisty roads all over mid Devon and they are not far from north Devon and Cornish coast so their beaches great views and great dining options, hopefully going to UK to meet family and have a good time and remind me of my youth. smile

I'll agree with this wink Very wide road, with good visibility, excellent potential!

Its not perfectly straight. Even has a humpback bridge in the middle but you can get up to some thourghly illegal speeds as you blatt over the moors from Latheron to Thurso on the A9 when your late for the ferry.

Lost a while doing some Googling, very interesting and something I knew nothing about despite growing up in the Peaks. The A15 seems to have it though!
