Only car that I would change the Ult for, would have to be a P4 or a Shelby Daytona smile

Hi, no this isn't the silverstone auction car (now for sale at total head turners). That car MUF814 has a cossie engine, our car MUF766 is a V8. We obviously have the same sense of humour though, as a lot of you have appreciated. Thanks again for the positive comments.

We bought the car in 2005 as a non runner with a V6 Renault engine, got it sorted and ran it for a couple of years then converted it to V8. I can't claim to have built it but other than the bodywork/paint everything else has either been replaced, upgraded or rebuilt. Bit of an ongoing project....bodywork has aged nice (paint is now 22yrs old) so looks less like a kit car than most so I have no intention of repainting it. I think its called patina!

Noble P4's and Ultima Mk2's (which were also Renault PRV powered, including Lee's 1986 championship winner) have a lot in common under their skins.

Hi Paul, didn't think you would miss this thread, long time no speak. Thanks for posting the old (Renault) pics, god I hated that engine! If you still have your gearbox leak issue let me know as I have the cure that will not require box removal. Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks for posting this thread. Not surprising the P4 inspired replica construction, they are a stunning looking car. I think the Rover V8 is a good choice as they sound really impressive with the right exhaust system in place and aren't too loud normally (waits to be corrected with a response that this car exceeds the drive by noise regs at all the major circuits biggrin)
