How is that on a news website? Did the guy phone the local papers himself? Cringeworthy to say the least...

I'm sorry but this thread and that 'news' article confirm he's basically just showing off..I said before I really don't think it's necessary to state your age/how well your business is doing/ blah blah if you don't want anyone to comment on it...(FELIX is an absolute tool though)

I know i'll probably get some responses staying i'm jealous, but believe me i'm not. wink
I was urged to do that by my university for publicity for them, it got me some free vouchers from the uni and got me some other benefits, I did feel it was cringey but I didnt phone them I was approached. I have been approached quite a few times and only done a couple of things. At the time I wasn't sure which career path I wanted to take and doing the few publicity things I ve done has sat me with numerous job offers in different industries... I certainly don't regret doing it

Where did you get them? I think something isn't right here...

Did you start out with a pair of shorts and trade them in for some pedal pushers and trade them in turn and now you've got these?
How did you make money on something that depreciates as you use it?
Do you one day hope to own some trousers that cover your ankles?
How can someone so young get away with salmon pink slacks?

What would you rather he did? drove a diesel stbox and wore beige, or swapped one bloody good car for another while he is still young and it is possible?

Smacks of that sort of 'i never got that so why should he?' attitude. fk off.
Maybe he is trading up to a point where he can sell, afford a deposit on a house and a nice car aswell.

tranter5 if you are ever pissed to the point of blindness and fancy swapping your 360 for a yaris for a week, im only too happy to oblige!

i am not jealous, i am skeptical

I have driven and do drive different cars every day of every week

Ferrari's , Lambos, Maserati's etc

and the tax issue is irrelevant

If he's earning and making enough to upgrade every 6 months

then I think I would have a deposit on a house
Reading through the last few threads, I can't see it's that difficult to understand....

He works for a car dealership who are good enough to let him buy a few cars on the side that he runs for a while and then sells on.

He then uses this profit, coupled with his earnings to trade up to the next car.

At the end of the day he's mortgage and kid free, so buying cars at this level isn't all that difficult.

People chose to do things differently, I'd bought my second house at the same age as the OP, and wait a few years for the Fez, he's chosen to spend his money on cars first.

OP tell me if what I've written is vastly incorrect?

correct I have only been working alongside another car dealer for around 3 months though which is handy for selling the level of car I am at now

At first I thought Felix5 was a succesful businessman with a bee in his bonnet that you had the path to riches a little easier than him. Then I realised he isn't successful hehe he seems a bit pissed off that his hopes and dreams haven't come true. Must be because his parents wern't supportive wink

Do you have any idea where you'll be going from the Ferrari? For the love of god don't say a house. A house is boring.

How do you know that then? everyone has their own priorities and what they would like to achieve.

Perhaps the thing that annoys me the most on PH's is when someone clicks on a profile and then makes a judgement based on a individual's garage.

For some chaps, they chose to put their money into a house, then invest in a another, start a family send kids to private school/sate school etc. Others chose to defer this and splash out on cars.

Neither is right or wrong it's all down to individual choices.

One needs to learn to respect that.

I like what the OP has done, but I also understand where the other chap was coming from.

He's on PH, you'd assume he spends a reasonable percentage of his money on a car. He has 3 comparatively st cars.

In my experiances of successful people, they don't attempt to dick on people like he did.

Putting 2+2 together, I've depicted he most likely isn't successful (depending on your definition of the word)

That is something you would need to ask him.

I have been on PH for a reasonable time and like cars, but my priorities were to buy a house, buy a few more as an investment, be mortgage free, start a family, go to University obtain a few degrees wink etc.

All that cost a lot, however I made that choice and stand by that. You can't tell all that from clicking on my profile though can you?

Hence my initial statement. Plus everyone's definition of successful varies. My friend is a cosmetic surgeon and drives a 458 but doesn't feel he has achieved enough compared to his peers.

One 'might' think he is successful because of his choice of vehicle, however he feels he needs to achieve more. Success doesn't have to be judged on material possessions.

You make some very valid points.

I'm a little bit touchy with the scenario. A friend of mine recieves a fair bit of completely unprovoked abuse through driving his nice cars. Obviously there are exceptions from each rule, but I've only seen him recieve praise from wealthy people.

Funny how the 360 provokes such an emotive reaction compared to the GTR - both (as you say) from passengers, and from thread contributors, when in financial terms it's not that much of a step up, and in dynamic terms it's probably a step backward? The mystique of Ferrari I guess...

Lovely mate. Are you spending a percentage of dealership money alongside your own money now? What kind of say are they having? Just curious.

First of all, the profile is very old. I'm sure not everyone updates it as regular as others may like.
Secondly I would say that someone who owns a dealership outright and all of its assets is to be classed as 'fairly' successful, and if he were to combine all his vehicles a 360 would be easily within reach. (If only he did, the bugger.)

And finally, think he had a bee in his bonnet lastnight, so applogies for that and any offence that may have caused.

Sooooo, back to the lovely car! Ever thought about taking it out on a trackday, or is it too risky incase something goes wrong?

Would it be a silly idea to spend all of redudancy money on a car like this? biggrin
