Sorry to hear of the paint incident, jealousy seems to be a very British thing when it comes to cars.

I wouldn't use an outdoor car cover, unless you clean the car after each use, otherwise you run the risk of scratching the paintwork.

You have to be aware of your surroundings, nobody would do this to your car in Mayfair as nobody gives a st as they're all over the place, where op is on the other hand... It's sadly asking for trouble, and unless you're the local hard man then it's what is going to happen. Not right, but expected I guess.

Sorry to hear about the paint, but you park it on the road? Or do you mean drive?

Not much difference I know but I'd say there was slightly less of a chance of someone doing something like this on a drive than road.

Its quite a hefty amount more to insure it in the garage plus it wouldn't fit unfortunately. I have a Ferrari cover with the car but I dont think its suitable for outdoor use, I have considered an outdoor cover but I use the car so often that it would not be very practical to keep putting it on and removing it.
Can understand if it won't fit, but I have never known an insurance premium be HIGHER if a car is garaged. Try a different insurer next time if that's really what you're getting.

Insurance premiums are always more expensive if you say the car is garaged due to the number of claims from damaging the car getting it in and out.The thing to do is say it is parked on the driveway then stick it in the garage if you wish to.

A Ferrari is always going to be a target for mindless jealous wastes of space. If i was you I would move it on pretty quick now if you dont have somewhere safe to keep it before some tt does it again.

Shame to hear about the paint- sounds like you've got it sorted though with minimum fuss and hopefully CCTV will stop incidents like that in future.

Interesting to read all the speculation over how he affords it, must admit I was slightly sceptical at first but then realised, who cares! He's kind enough to share a great set of updates and photos which is probably more than I would. So utmost respect to the OP tbh, especially with some of the dheads who can be found on this forum!
