Always enjoyed this section on the forum, so thought i should contribute now i have my first "serious" car.

Picked it up just two weeks ago and couldn't believe i had finally bought my first V8. I haven't done many miles yet, 200 ish, but it's been faultless so far and is everything i wanted it to be. Refined, graceful, but brutish and quick when it needs to be.

I hope people enjoy the photos.

Cheers

Charlie

ps it was only temporarily parked in the disabled bay for the purposes of a photo just a few hours after purchase. I had to get some immediate evidence of owning it just incase something happened!

my Dad had one of these from 2004- 2008

cracking cars, never managed over 26mpg but the ride and comfort was second to none

it used to glide over speed bumps

Has the xjr had paint work at some point?
Xjr,s have coach lines on them apart from the xjr 100.
The xjr has the coach line under the lacquer so for it not to have one it must have been painted at some point.
You just can't pull the coach line off.
Either way it is very beautifull.

Absolutely beautiful cloud9 A future classic in the making.

It looks to be in good condition for 84K. What's the service history like?

If you haven't done so already, get it looked over by a specialist (of which there are loads).

I love that. Please give updates on how much fuel it goes through, it should sway me towards getting one!

Mine is averaging 16.8mpg, with mostly out of town driving. I don't spare the loud pedal.

Spare the rod, spoil the child. I like your style, and 17mpg (rounding up works for me!) is not too ruinous!!

Absolutely. I've found if you put the cruise on at 70mph the mpg improves greatly.

But I soon got bored with that smile
