Had 3 205 GTi’s and always loved a Dimma - this car is fantastic and a total credit to the OP

After following your build thread and seeing your car at the NEC it looks the bee's knee's! A real Bobby Dazzler!

As I can't think of another Dimma... I'm assuming that's your car on the front of Retro Cars magazine?

Well it's been a while and sadly the car is just not getting used no time and I've sadly lost interest in it so there are are few bits being replated and recoated then I'm off to talk to a specialist dealer about selling it on.

That's a shame but understandable ... I chose to sell a car I'd rebuilt (not a modern - if you can call a 205 a modern) - I kinda lost interest in it after it was finished.

Let us know where it ends up ... auction maybe or a commission sale?

Parts should be back this week hopefully then it will put back together and then off the specialist dealer and see if they can sell it.

Who would be a specialist dealer of this type of thing?

I'm lucky to have a specialist garage near me that deals with rare classics and special cars in general so think it will be it's best bet to find a buyer.

What do you think your car is worth? Following your build thread if a restoration shop was to do such work it would cost a fortune. I could see it advertised at £14995? Higher or Lower Brucie?

Is that a wind-up? Worth a LOT more than that to my way of thinking ...

I genuinely wouldn't know where to price it, it will have a limited market.

Not a wind up at all! It would take a very mint 205 gti to be worth that money. I was thinking a smaller buying pool and how hard it is to sell cars privately!

It's not hard to sell the right car more often than not.

Me and the garage have a rough figure in mind but is a very small market for a car like this if I cannot get what I'm after it wont sell it has a agreed value of just under 30k but wont be up for anything near that.
