That is the perfect spec I was looking for in an M3!

However I will probably be mortgaged up to the hilt this time next month and looking on enviously at your personalised pet project so TEAR THAT MOTHER UP

Agreed. Love seeing someone do upgrades on a car like this, so it's akin to a proper OEM job. Better than OE, even.

Good man.

2 things:

1) I like you

2) I want a really really nice E39 M5, do you fancy buying one, fettling it, then I'll buy it off you when you're done? laugh

That's fabulous smile have you tried it yet? I guess you just go to the tv setting on the car and it plays that source. I.e. the iPod.

Thanks guys.

Graham - Not yet. I paid a little more for a version which is wired for a reversing camera. It has an additional video in for the camera together with a trigger wire to activates the TV (therefore Camera) when reverse is selected.

All you do is select 'Television' on the Nav unit, then tune one of the channels to the iPod video or whatever other source you are using.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know these existed!

Another fantastic mwstewart thread. This goes some way to helping with the lack of updates on the Fiesta thread and thanks for that Mark.

Really dont wish to be rude, but could you not finish the Fiesta first? thumbup

Been following the Fiesta thread in complete awe of your skills and attention to detail, and then boom, all stop to work on the M3!

Have to admire the work being completed on this and the Fiesta, and the work you started on the Merc looked good too.

Thanks all. I know it's a bit chaotic leaving the Fiesta for this, but I now have all but three parts to finish the M3 so it makes sense to finish and enjoy it whilst I return to complete the Fiesta.

I ordered this today:

It's a replica of the CSL Airbox. I'm going for as much OEM as possible but £4k for the OEM version doesn't represent good value. This (very good) replica costs considerably less smile
