2002 Supercharged EP3 Civic Type R
Discussion
Well the car is booked for a whole new alarm system on the 10th July and as if by fking magic the car decides that today is the day it's going to fk mthe around properly. The alarm has gone off 5 times today.
My neighbour came around with a pair of snips and with some advice from the alarm bloke who's fitting my new one we removed this...
Which, at the very least means we don't have to have the siren going off at ridiculous times.
Roll on the new alarm!!

How drivable is it at that power level? What are torque numbers?
Drivability is fine. The Rotrex charger is like a turbo in the way it spools up, it feels like and OEM car I think.I can't remember what the torque is, I'll find out this week.
Still dithering over whether to throw money at mine or punt it
Pleased it's all coming together for you though!
I was cursing the car yesterday about the alarm but hopefully that will be sorted soon and it got me thinking that I've had the car 3 years now and it's come a long way! From a completely standard Milano red EP3 to what it is now. Pretty crazy.
Here's some pictures of it 3 years ago (15/06/14)
And today.
I do sometimes miss the purity of a completely standard car, it was a cracker but I enjoy what I've made a lot more!
Also I've taken off the H brace, a useless thing to try and use on a road car unless you enjoy smashing the bottom of the car all along the road whilst collecting horsest...
It's had a rough few weeks!

Must be something about honda's and after market alarms.
Mines got a laserline or some garbage make and it throws a wobbler from time to time. Usually at the most inconvenient time.
So I feel your pain
Glad to see your getting it sorted and where you want it to be. You'd be bored with a standard car

You could treat it to some new mats
I could, but my current ones are the super rare JDM ones, another set could cost me £200....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252878612424
I've got a decent set of the uk ones in my garage but I like the red ones, they just need a clean!!
Just wondered how you find the drivability and power delivery with the rotrex?
Only driven one rotrex car and it was very smooth and linear, just felt like it had a bigger engine and a lot more grunt, didn't even sound much different bar the slight whistle at idle and the bypass valve noise. But I've heard people say that the car ends up sounding a bit rough and thrashy with a rotrex? Not sure why.

Yeah I'd say it feels like an OEM setup, the power builds as the revs do, so it feels like the standard engine with a lot more power and torque.
I have a forge 008 recirc valve on it so get a nice flutter on gearchange which is good fun.
I'd never have said the K20 is the best sounding engine in the world anyway, it's always been a bit thrashy to my ears but I wouldn't say the Rotrex makes it any worse!

The Honda rotrex in my Exige is very easy to drive, my mum could drive it!Only driven one rotrex car and it was very smooth and linear, just felt like it had a bigger engine and a lot more grunt, didn't even sound much different bar the slight whistle at idle and the bypass valve noise.
