To improve handling whilst retaining drivability maybe? I can't understand why people slam their cars on the floor, because it makes it virtually undrivable on a lot of the country's roads, and completely undrivable at any speed on many country lanes. If my car was much lower than stock I'd run out of ground clearance on a regular basis.
You clearly have no idea how air ride works!

You are going for the Citroen BX look?

Nice Golf OP - 0-60 is meaningless in a FWD, so I bet the mid range is epic.

What's preferable then? The Wavetracs seem to perform pretty well in both high load and limited grip application and don't appear to have a measurably higher failure rate than Quaife or Peloquin. Peloquin does seem to be the default in 1.8T and 2.0T big power applications.

It has a diff. Just, an open diff, which is what he meant. Otherwise, turning at low speed would be tricky, and the understeer would be horrific.

Quaife ATB?
Ahh yes... you have a point. yes

Thank you.

The app is called Dynolicous. I know someone whos got a Racelogic Vbox and reported that its very accurate.

Added this today...

Basically outputs diagnostic parameters onto the screen. Everything from timing advance to fuel rail pressure etc etc.

Knowing about lowering/raising vs knowing damping rates at bag pressures?

1+1 = potato?

If you're going to advocate air ride on a website known for its interest in driving dynamics, do you not think it worth researching your subject first?

Once again, a perfectly good post is hijacked by a newbie trying to make a name for himself.

On topic, lovely GTI OP. I was nearly swayed by an Edition 30 when I was hunting around for something new. Something about the performance and practicality combined that I probably should have paid more attention to smile

Xjay has already had his arse handed to him a few times on here.

He started lecturing people on hybrids and got it all wrong.

I recognise his name from another forum, but he doesn't act as wide over there.

He still regularly gets his arse handed to him though.

Great looking car OP.

Apologies for a mini thread-jack. Is there any way of setting PH to ignore/block posts from users you don't want to see stuff from?
