I'd be interested to see if the prices of 987s strengthen in future the way they seem to be with the 986 now. The 987 still seems to be on the way down looking at the classifieds. I look at mine and can't help thinking what a lot of car it is for what I paid.

Moose... just posted a link to a very clean looking 986 in the poverty pork thread... might be worth a look.

Car looks great Moose, nice pics. Early 986 would be my choice as prefer the old lights/ambers over the later cars.

I also dislike the fussy bumpers on the newer cars but I like the dual cup holders, glove box and glass window.

If my previous 987.1 s hadn’t got the dreaded bore scoring I would have considered this. Alas I swore I would never have another Porsche and swapped for an m135i........

Mmm wonder what it’s worth th aw days. Probably 20p. Anyway sorry to hear your selling it. Someone will get a very nice car there.

When you buy a tidy 986, are you planning on doing 20k a year mileage with it?

Ooh, nice. Had a Sony a7 II (now on an RX10Mk4, for ease of carrying, simplicity, etc.), but the FF mirrorless cameras are excellent and you can see the difference to an APS / small sensor camera.

Just off to look at prices for that rig ;-)

You've bought barn full of them! (Where is that!?)

Looks like 18" 'GT3" Style wheels, presume they'll be getting swapped out for 17" Twists!

Interestingly I was comparing your tyre sizes you quoted on your Cayman 17;s against my Boxster. I always thought they had the same rolling radius, but they dont - I presume the 987 has bigger wheelarches to fill...

I'm using FSD with the M030 spec -10mm H&R. I didn't measure side by side but I don't think the FSD is a shortened damper. They have rebranded the FSD now to something like Koni Active. FSD term has been relegated to their technical marketing rather than a product name. This combo is probably the sweet spot for value Vs performance.
