I've seen this car on Instagram.

It's a beaut! I recently bought a 265 cup to do the daily stuff and TD's too!

Haha she does seem to get some love but I think it's because it's red as not many are seen in red plus the wheels

Hey Matt - looks awesome!

Sure I saw a couple of your vids on YouTube as well recently, car looks great and really flies. Thankfully looks like you got away with it when the Dunlop blew, what happened? Any other future plans for the car?

Seriously been considering a 275 Trophy as my next car... I started looking at more hardcore stuff like the V6 Exige S or even an M3, but as this car will also be a daily (doing 2 x 180 mile round trips per week) the Megs always seem to be the best compromise on all fronts. Swapped my 182 Trophy last year for a GTD when I moved to a new role (facing long commutes) and now wishing to be back in something I can take on trackdays / road trips / hoon about! Especially since I only need to commute twice a week...

Time to get browsing the classifieds...!

Absolutely stunning car, deeply jealous and that colour is sensational.

I know it's a real stretch considering the price/generation gap but any meaningful comparison with the r53 minis you owned previously? And any comments on the minis you owned?

I absolute love these and R53 GP's. I constantly browse classifieds for Meganes - would seriously consider chopping my Vx220 in for one. Is there a good resource to read about all the different versions and specs? I'm aware that over the life of the car there are quite a few variations and price/desirability is spec dependant.

For me I wanted cup pack with the diff and red calipers, recaros are also something I wanted bit personally on track don't support you enough hence going for pole positions. Compared to the mini it's the mini with the extra space and extra grunt I always wanted. The chassis is amazing and is ridiculously good with kw clubsports. For the money these can be had for now it's crazy how their aren't more on the road

The front end looks great with the black headlamps, it looks really cohesive with the black in the bumper! How are you finding the seats on initial impressions?

i think these are at a difficult price point for track usage still.
in the coming years as they get cheaper, and Clios get older, we'll see a lot more on track.
Great for the Ring i'd imagine.

Back from the "Green hell" now and had a fantastic time but I need to take a moment to truly appreciate this car, not only does it drive me to Germany from my house using 3/4 of fuel it then absolutely makes every hair on my body stand up. how their are not more of these in the UK is beyond me but me and this car will not be separated any time soon. cheesy as it sounds but me and Meg have been through a bit of a rollercoaster ride since may with set backs and stressfully expensive moments I think its safe to say this car in only 11 months is now part of me. I ran the 17x9s with federal 595 rsr which are decent in the dry but shocking in the wet, for the price they are hard to beat but after driving with Dunlop direzza dz03g on track they feel poor in comparison but obviously these are 2 very different tyres. I went to Raeder motorsport and spoke about some suspension tweeks so who knows maybe she will spend a day there again in just over a month. As it stands she showed my pals in their stage 2 plus mk5 gti golfs with diffs and I'm sorry 1320 but even James hta28 turbo r53 had to see what a megane does when it comes to bends!!!

I met 2 German Megane owners who ive been chatting to via facebook for last couple of months and was great to eet them in person, one of which GAVE me a part I needed to allow me to fit my CAE shifter and when I offered him money he said no this is a gift from one megane friend to another!!! SAYS IT ALL.

Cars at Castle Combe action day this weekend then back to Germany for more fun in 5 weeks.

Brilliant cars. So are Renaultsports in general, I don't know why there aren't loads on the road, still love my 182 trophy.

There's a Renaultsport track day at Oulton on 15th April, are you there?
