Not sure if you've already been asked this, but what are the vents in the left sill?
I'm sure matt will clarify but I'm pretty sure the exhaust runs inside that sill hence the vents.

As Adam mentioned the exhaust runs just behind the body so they're there to help cooling.

Brilliant car and well done for not following the crowd ! It's a car to learn how to drive and much more involving than a hatch back.

I saw you at Silverstone classic !
Thanks, it's great fun and like you say no electronic aids to help you out so it's just you and the car smile . The Silverstone weekend was great although a bit damp as I was camping!

Yeah the Indy has gone to pastures new. I have a trackday booked at donington on the bike though so no tears will be shed.laugh
laugh Donington should be great on a bike as long as it's dry!

Glad to see you're still getting plenty of use!

I was at croft yesterday and they had 3 of these to use on their experience days, the do look even more cracking in person!

If you could be so kind, do you know the specs of the minilites in terms of diamter, width and offset? It's nice they have a bit of dish to them and i'd like some with a similar look for my old bmw 2002!

Didn't realise they still used them! Off the top of my head all I know is they're 6x15 but I don't know the ET I'm sorry to say, but I can have a look over the next couple of days if you want? The 2002 is a fantastic looking car, have you got a thread going for it?

They were still using them well by the looks of it haha they looked pretty tired though and nowhere near as nice as yours but suppose that was the intention for those cars!

If you wouldn't mind finding out if its easy enough id appreciate it, i can get away with 15x8's and et0 so naturally i think they will be well dished though! Thanks, it's dream car stuff for me so feel very lucky with it, it'll be getting used pretty much the same as yours too. cant wait until its working! Funnily enough the thread is sat next to yours as i type! https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Your 2002 looks like it's going to be a great car when it finished, not jealous at all biggrin . I look forward to more updates! I've had a look at my wheels, i believe they're around et12 but I can confirm that the 15x6 on my car only came in et8 up to et20.

Thanks for checking it out, I can't wait until it's done, just taking my time with it though!

Thanks for that, makes sense they're relatively low offset and still deep dish at 6/7 inch. I'll get some ordered up when I'm not such a peasant!

Didn't realise it's been so long since I've updated this thread! Haven't used the car much since November but have been giving it a blast along some unsalted roads every couple of weeks as I don't like to let the car sit for ages without moving. It's not the cold weather that stops me using it, it's the amount of salt they throw over roads during this time of year. Unfortunately I've put a bit of money into a new daily so haven't done any changes worth mentioning to the G20 but hopefully during the year I'll be doing a couple of bits, ultimately I just want to continue to enjoy using the car smile

Can't wait to get out for longer runs and hopefully some more trackdays this year when the roads become a bit cleaner. Looking at doing Lyneham this year as it's fairly new and local.

I did buy a new helmet at the NEC last weekend, although not a hugely expensive? helmet it's a much nicer fit than the cheap one I had before.

Definitely not a bad way to see the wrong side of a hedge at 19.
Also just like to quote this post as it's nearly two years ago and I still haven't seen the hedge mentioned, I'm far from a great driver and still relatively inexperienced but I know what my ability limits are.

Thanks, I'll be looking at the dates for Lyneham which are after April. I'm hoping to book the same date as a friend who also has a G20 road car. Maybe see you there

I suppose he did biggrin

I got the car out today and was hoping to go for a longer drive but the weather put me off, so it was covered back up.

The car is now for sale! It's been a difficult decision but after thinking about it i think it's time for a change, I know what I want to replace the Ginetta with but just need the space/funds from it to purchase the new car. It's been a great two years owning it and i don't regret it one bit as it's introduced me to some great people and some great experiences.

But I'll be taking a break from kitcars with it's replacement, it's replacement still only has two seats though biggrin

Hope it's okay to post the link.

That looks like Marks G33 next to it ?

Does the aero screen flick flies over the top of you or do you have to wear some sort of goggles when driving on the road ?

It is Marks G33, I'm local to him so we met up when I got the G20. It's pretty good but I do wear the helmet to limit the risk of any injury from stones etc

I live in Wootton Bassett and hoping to get to Lyneham in my MX5. I did a 10K run there a few years ago will be interesting to see how much of the runway they are allowed to use.

After advertising the car, I soon realised my pricing was way off what I'd realistically get and it's probably the wrong time of year to be selling it, so I booked myself on a half day track day at Castle Combe which I did on Wednesday. This made me realise how much fun it is to drive even if I wasn't pushing anyway near the limit, so I've now decided to keep the car!
