It's been a while since I updated this thread, that's mainly because there's no real changes to the car with the only expense being an oil & filter change since my last update. That said, I'm still getting plenty of use out of it. I was asked to take a cousin to his prom which I was happy to do. It was funny turning up at the venue with lots of more exotic and expensive cars around us. Didn't see another kitcar there either, not sure why . As the weather was nice and I'd recently joint them I went down to a KitNet meet last night, was a nice drive in the sun and the people and cars there were great. Looking forward to using the car whilst the weathers still good and maybe make a few changes in the autumn/winter.

Cracking car mate, I'm sure it'll be a good laugh on a sunny day
I'm ages with yourself, and something like this did cross my mind when car hunting earlier this year. I'm limited with space though and didn't want to have to rent somewhere to store it
Parents are looking to move house soon, pushing them for a garage!
Bet your mates love it.

Great thread, love this little car. Good to see you are still so enthusiastic about this type of car. Hope other younger PH'ers look at cars like this rather than chasing numbers.
Enjoy the rest of the Summer and driving the G20.
Thank you . I'd definitely recommend trying a kitcar to anyone around my age, they're great fun to drive and relatively cheap to maintain until you start to add more nice shiny bits . Hopefully the nice weather continues!Enjoy the rest of the Summer and driving the G20.

Thank you , it always puts a smile on my face. I'm quite lucky having the space to keep it under cover otherwise I wouldn't have it. To be honest not many of my mates are huge fans of this type of car most are into their fast hatchbacks, but they understand my madness!I'm ages with yourself, and something like this did cross my mind when car hunting earlier this year. Thank you very much CABC said:
just excellent.
there's a thread from a guy a little older than you wanting to spunk 40k on a brand new, depreciating, fast eurobox. Not everyone gets it.
Enjoy!
The guy you're referring to hs explicitly stated that A) he already has a track toy and B) that on the basis of A), this purchase needs to be a practical / sensible.there's a thread from a guy a little older than you wanting to spunk 40k on a brand new, depreciating, fast eurobox. So, presumably you're inclucing yourself in your observation that "not everyone gets it"? I suspect the irony of your own post has completely sailed over your head.
That aside, why mention that on this thread? WTF has it got to do with anything?

Not that i posted on that thread, and missed his later clarification on the track car.
Sorry for any offence caused.
Anyway Matt, i'm a big fan of what you're doing and wish i'd done the same when younger. I left hard core cars until later in life, and it can a little painful at times. Not that i intend to stop, they're addictive!

Thanks for your comments . I'm fortunate to be in the situation I am so try to make the most of it! It's great fun though. Not that i posted on that thread, and missed his later clarification on the track car.

Had a nice parcel delivered over the weekend as well
So i spent last Fri/Sat/Sun at the Silverstone Classic, it was definitely an experience going camping with the car! Although the daytime weather was fairly good the overnight rain soon made me realise my tent was like a sieve . Some very nice cars both racing and in the display area's, the JPS BMW 635 was definitely one of my favourites. anyway i've put a few photos below
Camping in the sun...
Then it rained and things got a little messy...

It's quite cool having something immaculate and getting it filthy though!

absolutely loved these when they came out and such a rare sight.
There's definitely not that many on UK roads, it'd be interesting to know how many are actually MOT'd/taxed.Yesterday I took the car out at Castle Combe, my first trackday at the circuit. Being a local circuit which i've spectated at a lot I knew the track wasn't kind to making mistakes. It was great fun to be out on track even if I wasn't going all out. What I do know is it's very addictive, I want to do it again already!
The biggest surprise of the day was turning up to find another road going G20 also taking part! I've never seen another in the flesh and the other owner was as surprised as I was. It was great to have a chat and see the differences between the two, although they're both very much the same as you might expect. The black car is one of the cars Ginetta used for the NEC show when the car was launched.

Yeah the Indy has gone to pastures new. I have a trackday booked at donington on the bike though so no tears will be shed.
