Absolutely stunning car!

I had a white one of these a about 8 years ago. Bought it for £600! It was completely standard.

I spent about £500 putting a cammed 16v lump in which made it dangerously fun!

Ended up selling it for £600 again as it needed a new rear beam, driveshafts and brakes and I was a skint student.

In hindsight I should have spent the money doing the maintenance it needed rather than putting a silly engine it it but that's being young for you!

Great looking car.

Anyone know where my brake fluid has gone? No obvious drips from the brake lines, or any drips on the rear drums or front wheels.

All the main brake lines were replaced last year in prep for the MOT, so I'm guessing its the MC or a flexi, but while the flexi's look old, there are no obvious drips?

That's a head scratcher! Nothing on the drive/ road/ garage?

Check your driver's foot well too, I guess?

Just back from circuits... Can barely move arms... Can't imagine there will be progress tomorrow!

Will be watching this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-106-Xsi/27277420...

Interesting spec with the larger engine on 'bodies.

Not entirely dissimilar to what I am trying to achieve (except for the engine) in terms of it still being unstripped and kept on the road smile

Interesting... Guess it sold outside of ebay.

Would have been interesting to see how much I could have saved on my build biggrin

To be fair; he must have had a few quid in that car after the respray and engine build!

I was watching that too, modified 8valves are rare.

A 160bhp 8v is hilarious fun.

Get on it Dom, then drive it!

Ive been thinking about a Megasquirt to go with the Rallye inlet but they're pretty pricey these days! May as well just go Emerald or MBE...

Simple answer is that I'm waiting for the weather...

Clio V6 is in the garage, along with a load of parts!

Back to full time work the last few months so haven't had the time!

Might have to draft in some help to have it ready for summer!

Hello

Is this thread still live? I am currently on my umpteenth Xsi restoration and have been out of the game for a few years, I’m wondering if you can get some pics of the positive and negative wiring posted to help me please

Thanks

Rob

Alive! Alive on the drive! Well, dead on the drive?

I'm almost ready to start again now the weather is back but life seems to have taken over.

Will see if I get under the bonnet this weekend and snap some pics. All needs a good clean first!

Couple of Miami blue cars seem to have appeared and sold on eBay the last couple of weeks smile

I really think they're one of the Best looking hatches.

Needs to be an S1 though and have the round rear arches so an XSi or an S1 Rallye. Prefer the XSi as the plastic bodykit echoes the 205 GTi... hence that's what I have!

Just realised that Mrs9 has booked us a cottage in the Cotswolds for the weekend, so will try and get out there one evening this week!

I agree, they are one of the best hatches in my opinion, I’ve owned many over the years, 5 Rallye’s S1 and S2 and a 3 xsi’s a couple of Gtis and many 1.0 and diesels for shells etc, but the S1 Xsi will always be my favourite, my latest being one of the first Miami blue ones

Awesome - post some pics!

Is it one of the 2 Miami cars that have been on eBay recently?

We've just been to see a house... so my car collection may have to shrink. I see this being my interim daily so need to get it done! Shame we're away this weekend!

No i got mine early January but I’ve been tempted by those two on Ebay as well, I bought it just about complete except no engine and interior, I have managed to source most of the bits, I’ve been cleaning things up and paining bits and bobs at work and am currently repairing some wiring looms, it’s at my friends garage until I get my new house next week then, then the build begins, hopefully
