Test drove a corsa e performance pack vxr and hated every second, glad your happy though and thats a lovely colour
The terrible quality of interior put me off. Granted the VXR has better seats than standard but it really felt cheap in the cabin. I'd have a fast Ford over a fast Vauxhall any day. Service by Michael Smith, on Flickr
That time already!
Completed today, apart the the Pollen Filter, but will do that another time, so the current mileage at the time was 23033. First Service in my ownership, feels good lol.
Have to say the 'Box does feel better, it's still woeful but it does feel better, so that's one plus point. Stuck 2.8L in.
Next on the list is Discs and Pads all round.

So yesterday whilst the Weather was truly superb, decided it was the right time to give the 'Burg a really good 'Detail' i hate that word but seems popular these days, anyway! started of with taking the Alloy's of and doing the usual, Iron-X'ed, De-Tar'ed, Shampooed and then Waxed, no pictures of any interest unfortunately, along with doing that i give the Arches, Suspension, Brembo's and any other undercarriage components a good scrub, again no pictures of any interest :/ With that done, set about giving the Bodywork a good seeing to, did the usual and went and got some pictures

Warning Triangle by Michael Smith, on Flickr
As you can see, the First Aid, Hi Viz Jacket and Warning Triangle, by all accounts, these should be included with the car when being PDi'ed or by the Dealers, anyways, finishes it off.
Also went for a drive out with mate in his new to him Ford Focus Mk3 ST-3

Realistically you don't need to upgrade your DRL's, they just let traffic know you are there by making you more visible during the day, should never be relied upon at night as that's what your headlights are for Just out of interest, what bulbs are you using for your DRLs? And the OP's new ones are too blue, if they are LED then he's gone for a high number like 7500k instead of going for a bright one in the 2600-4k range, remembering that the higher the number does not make the brightest light but is in fact a measurement of the colour band, higher the band, bluer the range, less you will actually see.
Worked for VX a few years back when that ring version come out.. Loved it but thought £25k was a bit steep for a corsa so a used purchase would have been ideal.
I went for an 09 plate Astra vxr in the end and really enjoyed it..
Great car and great colour - i liked the crazy frog green too.

I do agree the RRP was hideously expensive new, especially when the Clio 200 Cup's where about 16k-ish RRP ? I went for an 09 plate Astra vxr in the end and really enjoyed it..

Glad to hear you enjoyed your Astra, i ran a '56 Plate Astra VXR a few years back and loved it.
Just under 25k now this 'Burg has done and its been problem free, a joy the own and drive and now over the past week i've noticed an ever so 'slight' cluck/knock from the front end when driving at say 10mph on slightly rough roads, and just last night i noticed it whilst parking up!
I'am going to have a good nosy around at the weekend to see if there's any obvious signs of breakages but i'am heading towards Drop Links. Process of elimination now LOL
The joys of having a stiff car on broken British Roads

Nice car mate, these Nurburgrings do look a lot better than the standard VXR in my opinion, great colour too
Thanks I still kinda prefer the central Exhaust on the normal VXR's, but everything else. the Alloy's, Splitter etc. etc is a cut above looks wise, i genuinely think even now against the more modern class of Hot Hatches it still looks dam fine.
Yup I think these are great looking things, it's a shame they get a bit of a bad rep really. Lovely colours on the Nurburgring editions... I too, like you prefer the original exhaust though, it was just a bit different wasn't it!
Thinking I might go for an Astra VXR next as I need something bigger

So i had the Alloy's of the other day to check for anything that could be causing the above issue and i can't really find anything suspect tbh, but i still think the Drop Links as there is a little movement when 'wiggling' them to an extent, so will replace them at some point, as there no mega monies. Also So today whilst i was off work and the Weather is stunning decided to give the the Car a good Clean and of course some pictures
Products used were Autofinesse stuff.

You won't be disappointed in the Astra, make you get a 'good' one though as most are dogs and modified. I've noticed that they are appreciating a little too! Well for the low mileage standard ones. Great car. I would love the Nurburgring as i love the White Lightweight ATS Alloys and that Remus. Its sexual lol.Thinking I might go for an Astra VXR next as I need something bigger
