The one and only 2016 VW Polo Gti 6C
Discussion
Always good seeing a fast car on track especially when different to the norm.
I usually have fun with my Alfa GTV v6 on track but now have a Guilietta 1.4 170bhp which I tempted to track too.
I'm new to Turbo engines especially small ones so curious how much you push it on track.
What's your track time - rest time split. Even with the V6 I'd not be out more than 20 minutes before a rest.
You changing the oil before the service intervals too?
cheers

I've already had one stock turbo let go on me after only 5000 miles on the road and that was at 70mph. That said a few people have had the same issue even after only a couple of hundred miles. The replacement turbo was a different part number so hopefully they have that problem sorted now although there was never a recall.
Usually go out for a warm up and then maybe 3-4 laps so about 10 mins at a time I guess.
That's more for brake and tyre cooling as it's a completely stock car I've been using.
Servicing has been done as per the recommendations although that's purely just oil change and look over for the first one.

I've just happened upon some of your videos on YouTube, and while I think you come across well, I was surprised that you appear to be far older than you come across on this thread.
It must be a VW owner thing this, for want of a better word, fan-boyism....I can't recall anyone ever mentioning other cars is an owners thread as justification for their own choice, bizarre.
I'm sure the Polo is a great little car, and the only person that seems to have an issue with it is you.

Have you actually come up against an ST on one of your trackdays or in any on road situations?? Have you actually been able to beat the ST assuming you have encountered one?? or are all your assumptions of your Polo gti vs Fiesta ST based solely on magazine articles and youtube videos.

Modified mountune one at Snetterton but flew past so I'm guessing it was his first time.
If you flew past it & it was a Mountune 215 then you already (as you've acknowledged) know it wasn't being driven to it's potential as you're car wouldn't pass it in a straight line with the power output of your car.Why not stop worrying about the ST (deep down you know it's the better hot hatch) & enjoy your car maybe make it more trackday focused seeing as you enjoy them why not make it a sweeter experience, even something like Poly Bushes will make a big difference without sacrificing to much ride quality.
