I didn't want to post this as I want to buy them but someone is selling a full set of XJ220 wheels on eBay.
I have sent him a message and he used to own two!
God knows what people do to have so much money.
Quite a few xj220 parts and other bits for sale too. Wonder what sort of car that is in the background of those pictures.. I have sent him a message and he used to own two!

Awesome motor, love the colour and the looks as well as all the modifications to make it a sharper tool. I love that you are not scared to do that, and not overly concerned with keeping it "original". Drive it and enjoy driving it!
I owned a racing green XJ220 a good few years back, it was a Le Mans spec one.
Here is a photo of it:
I had one of those! Used it as a pencil tin to take to school. I owned a racing green XJ220 a good few years back, it was a Le Mans spec one.

That's the OP's article.Thank you RS_Phil sharing the experiences with the XJ220, much appreciated.
How useful the gauges in the door are, easy to read? That was/is my favorite new idea in XJ220.
Did you go with Jay Leno's favorite A/C "Vintage Air" when upgrading the system?
You have straight pipes, how much louder it now is compared to standard?
Do you write in ferrarichat? Remember seeing your nick somewhere?

I remember going to Browns Lane in 1998 with a colleague to pick up his new Xj220. One thing that was particularly memorable was that we drove through a torrential rain storm on the motorway on the way home and thanks to the louvres on the bonnet not a drop hit the windscreen. I was quite impressed by that.
This ^ (I imagine there aren't too many others in this hue with the rear wing ?) sat unloved and uncared for in the valet bay at Evans Halshaw Jaguar/Ferrari in Bristol St, Birmingham, for at least a year (if not more).
I was a subbie for them, so was in there at least 2-3 times a week. It sat there gathering dust, its BBS wheels tarnished and the whole car generally unkempt.
After seeing it there for the first month, I got so blase about it, I didn't even give it a second look (actually it was so f*cking big, length and width) that I frequently cursed it for taking up much needed work space in the valet bay !
I saw this wonderful beast on the road today!
Yes really, I haven't been smoking funny-fags, I really did see it this morning and it made my day!
I was waiting at some traffic lights just of J15 of the M6 near Stoke On Trent at about 10.45am and it came the opposite way heading south on the A519 signposted Eccleshall. I assume it was on it's way to Don Law.
By the time, I realised that it was not just an XJ220, but the distinctive green one from this thread, it had past. I was too late to wind my window down to listen to it roar past and too late to fumble about with my phone (sorry Officer) to get a quick photo. But saw it I did and I'm still grinning like an idiot four hours later!

Just read this start to finish, can't believe that I'd missed it.
Great to see the car being used, hats off to you OP, I'd like to think that on occasion the door bins are stuffed with the random crap that door bins acquire along with bits and pieces in the passenger footwell.
Yup. Usually very much full of uselessness. Great to see the car being used, hats off to you OP, I'd like to think that on occasion the door bins are stuffed with the random crap that door bins acquire along with bits and pieces in the passenger footwell.
