Based on how it feels to drive now do you think the clutch and flywheel aren't going to be long for this world?

In regards to the map the car could had been an RHD parellel import as this was common early/mid 00s. You could order Dutch/Belgian spec cars but in RHD, either by driving over and ordering yourself or via some of the big car supermarkets etc. So possible it's an EU car

You somehow seem to have more hours in your day than mine?

My old Volvo just keeps plodding on, service time today, back on the miles again so she will do around 30K this year I think, and she has started towing a Caravan as well, cant see me parting with it ever until she really does die.........

Awesome, that sounds pretty simple. Thanks.

Now to decide whether or not to go anthracite.

FWIW I think they have aged much better than their peer group also. Still a fine looking machine.

Mine is getting her alloys refurbishing tomorrow if the weather holds firm.

I want to get my alloys refurbed but they're the 18" Nebula split rims, so I'm expecting much expense frown

They are great on fuel on a run. When I was flying out of Oxford I could do down from central Scotland and back on a little over three quarters of a tank. All in serious comfort.

Nothing touches them for the money.

Exemplary photos and trip reporting, good to hear it is proving to be an enjoyable place to be.

Ever so slightly off topic... I have to ask as an Alfisti... how is it with all the clutter cleared, and will it be joining you at the next abode?

Stop that right now.

I'll have to check with senior management - we'll see what she says!

My S60 D5 is on 125K miles and still going strong.

Need to change some suspension items now I think and I need a new condenser which I will order next week.

Makes me strangely sad of the prospect of Alex with no Volvo. But at the same time I understand the need for it to go. Hopefully it goes to a good home! Doing a current commute of 85 miles per day the prospect of living closer to work is a rather attractive one. Not to mention it opens up the potential for using something more special for the commute.

Kap, did you get round to sorting out the knackered aircon that you mentioned on page 1? Living in Frankfurt makes aircon a bit of a must. Cheers, Simon

Its an easy job to do. I changed one on an xc90 as the compressor had all but siezed and was causing really slow engine turnover when starting.

I've been told the compressor is a common fault if an owner is a cheapskate and doesnt use the air con. Seems logical.

Sorry I wasn't meaning they were, I was just using generic reasoning for the fault.
