Couldn't help but post the family estate. Owned since May 2016. We looked at RS6s and F10 M5s but the noise of this car kept drawing me in. In the end I couldn't resist. The last of the N/A engines. What a terrrific engine/noise combo. Res/cat deleted, it sounds ferocious. Remapped to over 500bhp.

I think she's a keeper.

I didn't know you could store C63s sideways. Another hidden facet to a car with so many talents crammed into one noisy package.

wink

Thinking about the cat delete on mine. What do you think? Too loud?

It can sometimes be a little antisocial, and by god does it make a huge explosion of noise on start up, but when you are pressing on, especially through tunnels the noise it makes is so filthy I wouldn't have it any other way. On idle it's still pretty quiet.

No YouTube video does it justice. Need to hear it at full chat to really appreciate it. If you're ever in East London...

Also sorry for the sidewards pictures. Don't know how that happened.

I've owned a pre facelift C63 for a year now, it started life in stealth spec and I've spent my time making it slightly less subtle laugh

Here it is at Brands with black AMG 19's

Here it is on the same day with silver AMG 18's

Since owning it I've put black 19's on it, tinted the windows, added a Quaife LSD, lowered it 30mm on H&R Cup coilovers, replaced the exhaust with a full IPE including long tube headers, sports cats and valvetronic rear section and mapped it.

I did the opposite. Mine has averaged 12.8 since I got it. I went away for the weekend with the wife (civilised driving) and averaged 24. I was really surprised.
I would be happy with 24mpg as i use mine daily,at the moment i'm filling up every five days so not too bad.

I would definitely look into a service plan. I was initially sceptical thinking it would just be another direct debit and would rather pay when it was due in one go.

When I took my Slk55 in for a Major B service which included all plugs and transmission fluid change MB quoted me £1400. By doing a service plan it was reduced to £1050 and also included my next A service gratis (which I just had done last month including brake fluid)
Yes i have signed up for the plan, it seems good value looking at what can happen with some big numbers being thrown up.
Evening all, just thought I'd come back to this after asking the question, and hopefully provide some sound advice to those that haven't already signed up to the service plan. I'm due a biggie soon, including the transmission oil change, got a quote from MB in Watford for over £900 yikes 5 months after I bought the car as well - its inline with their normal standards but feels a bit harsh on a 2.5 yr old £30k+ car, still c'est la vie.

Anyway, after getting over the mild heart attack I called MB and got quoted on the service/care plan. I've signed up to pay £45 per month for two years and that will include the next two services - which normally be c. £1500. So basically I'm paying for the biggie over two years and getting the next one for free. I'm normally very sceptical of these sorts of "sell-ons" (used to work in the trade and got bored of being forced to sell key insurance, tyre insurance etc) but this does seem like a genuinely good scheme thumbup

On a separate note, clearly a lot of people here with exceptional taste! Enjoy your cars OP and all biggrin

How are you finding the Quaife? Im considering it for mine as traction especially in the winter is poor at best.

How much of a transformation is it for day to day driving? Have people gone from normal to LSD to comment? Any guidance appreciated. (Apologies for threadjacking OP)

It transforms the car, I went from the normal diff to the Quaife. When I got the car it was winter so the roads weren't great so when you put your foot down the traction control was constantly cutting in which was really annoying. With the Quiafe fitted you can pull away much easier without losing traction and if it does spin both wheels will spin up at the same time and the traction control doesn't interfere so much.

I find on track I have to put the traction in sport (in the dry) otherwise you cant accelerate hard out of a bend.

I have got the Secondary Cat + Resonator delete on mine (Straight piped not the X pipe), doesn't sound too loud, infact I'm looking for ways to get more sound out of mine. Considering a valved rear muffler.

If anybody around Croydon wants to listen, let me know.

Thank you for that, I'm certainly having traction challenges out of junction with very light throttle application in "C" mode.

I might have to take you up on that. I'm near Wimbledon so not a million miles away. Will send you a PM.
