Thought of this when I saw a program the other day where they got a black SL55 that had got a little toasty int he boot and needed a new wiring loom, miraculously it fired up first time after much splicing of wires.....thinking it was abridged for the programme, but then they proceeded to ruin it by stickign a gash kit on it and painting it luminous orange ffs, utter do

Cars don’t like to be left sitting for that long so there are bound to be some teething niggles; I hope this is nearly the end of them for you.
I bought my 911 in 2006 and it had only done 1,800kms in the preceding 7 years. The previous owner got the new clutch and release fork…but my first few months involved 6 fans for hot/cold/AC/condenser, a door seizing open (grease sticking), clutch master and slave cylinders, HT leads, distributor, etc, etc, etc (in addition to tyres, brakes and a monster recommissioning service).
