Because I suspect you could have bought something genuinely interesting, and perhaps more pertinently, actually enjoyable to drive for less.

What you've spent I'm going to guess a significant five figure sum on is a very ordinary car and made it drive worse.

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with an Up, my niece has a nice one and it's a perfectly adequate little car.

But hers cost four grand...
I suspect you could be doing something more productive than criticising someone's car behind a keyboard but given half the st you post on this forum then that probably isn't the case...

Nice job there mate!

Definitely a Niche market; which some people don't seem to understand.

Also, a lot of comments regarding do this and do that; if there's one thing I've learnt in life if it doesn't hurt anybody don't let them make you bow down to their opinions.

I can appreciate a lot of money and time has been spent on this and that should be applauded regardless.

Also, have you considered a wrap or do you like it white. I was just thinking of the Mint colour that Adam7r has on his M3 which looked pretty tasty!

Anyways enjoy your car man!
I like it white haha not a fan of wraps if Im honest. Peoples opinions will never get me down I get slated for it on the daily aslong as I enjoy it thats all that matters ha

i think a lot lease there cars so not used to any modifications. i prefer to buy mine so i can change it if i like, usually remap, interior mods. like i posted earlier not to my taste but to say you aren't welcome on ph is wrong. if it is all leased vw golf rs and premium brand German cars it does get boring.

any future mods planned?

You didn't answer my airbag question. I'm genuinely concerned you have plugged in the airbag from a different model of car, is this the case?

Its a straight swap the plugs are the same. Had an audi one in before this too.

lol i will ask before anyone does, but is the car is fully insured for mods as they is a world of pain if you don't as most finance agreement don't allow mods?

also if you spent k on it which i guess is more than the value why not buy it then mod it?

Do you know if the specification of the bag is the same? Its very important as different inflation rates and directions can have a massive impact on your safety in a smash.

I don't think it's the case that people don't like mods (though there's that thread in the classics section where they came out the woodwork a bit), rather that people are more into performance and the enjoyment of driving. They just don't like these mods.

Looks alright. It's not ruined like the way a lot of the VW scene is going. And an afternoon with some spanners and it'll be back to little old lady spec anyway smile

If it was dragging it's underside on the floor and sporting 30 degrees of camber I might be weeing myself laughing, but otherwise they are now so common they are barely worthy of comment.

Ah, I'm sorry OP, I really hate what you've done with a decent little car. Looks worse, drives worse, is probably dangerous on those cambers. Yuck. (But I'm old). And I drive a Volvo - quietly.
