Hello guys,

It has been a while since I've made any updates to my current fleet of cars, so here's what I'm driving at the moment.

Audi 2007 B7 RS4,
I bought this last year and absolutely love it!!! It's not the fastest thing tin the world, but it goes pretty well and sounds amazing. I love the interior, in fact, I think it's one of the best I've seen in a car, and the bodywork is border line mint condition even though it has covered 105,000 miles. The car is used as my Wife's daily driver (My daily commute is 156 miles, so I can't afford the fuel! lol), and it hasn't missed a beat, although the running costs are mental! I've had it de-coked by AMD's (this saw power returned to 414bhp from 367bhp!!), and then I fitted new brake discs and pads up front, and then back to AMD's for a service which left me with little change from £2000! I also got H&R lowering springs fitted (AMD), braided brake lines, removed the electronic speed restriction (I work within engine calibration and with people who know the Bosch strategy) and it came with a Miltek exhaust system. Next on the list is the clutch, but with a DMF costing £800 new, I'm looking for other options!

Vauxhall Astra 2008 VXR Nurburgring,
This was bought as my daily driver when reluctantly I sold my mk2 Astra estate. It had a few things done to it which included a Quaife ATB diff, bigger forge intercooler and 297bhp re-map, and I had every intention to leave it as it was..... But then I changed everything! It now has 356mm brakes with 8-pot calipers, 18" Speedline wheels, Bride seats, roll cage, GAZ Gold coilovers, and a new forged engine with Garret GTX2871r turbo fitted. It's booked in for mapping on the 7th August where it should make my target power of 420bhp (the turbo is capable of 500bhp, and the forged engine could take that, but I'm going to cap it at 420bhp). I'm hoping to do some more track days in it (only done the one at Snetterton so far) when it's mapped, but I fear it's not really a daily now, so might get another car for work, lol.

Lotus S1 Elise 1997 (Exige replica) turbo,
I've posted this one up before, but it has seen a few changes since then. It has now been fitted with a Quaife diff, chargecooler (in addition to the intercooler), bigger Garret turbo (from Focus RS), tubular manifold, lots of bespoke carbon fibre panels and set up by Emerald with 234bhp/238lbft torque. It is without doubt the biggest piece of unreliable poo I've ever owned! It is always breaking down, and every single job is a complete nightmare! But it looks nice, and spends most of it's life in the garage, so I put up with it.

The Woo 1997,
I posted this up a few years back, its a Daewoo Nexia..... With two C20 LET engines fitted front and rear! It is without doubt the most mental car around! When it was on the road it was one of the fastest cars out there! But I kinda lashed the whole thing up and although it worked, it could (and should) have been done much better, so it's off the road getting done properly now with more power too smile
It was running 486bhp (both engines combined) with 544lbft torque, but with the new turbos and management going on it should be around 600bhp, with around 650lbft of torque and much better to drive with the different gearboxes I'll be using.

This was the very last time I used the car at Lydden hill, I got kicked off for being too noisy and a proper dodgy overtaking maneuver!

This is how it looks now.

Vauxhall Astra mk2
Currently nothing special, other than the fact it has only done 30,000 genuine miles and is in mint condition. I'm slowly accumulating parts to turn it it in to a 400bhp+ GTE turbo replica. Mods will include a carbon fibre roof skin, space framed front end, forged Astra VXR engine (Z20 LEH), coilovers, big brakes etc etc. Once I have done the Woo, this is next.

Work very much in progress!

I'm not sure which one I want the most, i think i love the idea of the twin engine Daewoo the most !

Out of interest (and if you don't mind saying) how much did AMD charge for the decoke ?

I think it was £595 for the de-coke, plus whatever the gaskets were. They take all of the inlet manifold off and shell blast it clean. Apparently these engines need doing around every 20,000 to remain clean.

I think I saw that Daewoo at a Goodwood breakfast meet a few years ago? If it wasn't yours, there's another out there!

Yes mate that was me! I had a good race with an Aston Martin on the way back home (I say race, but it was more along the lines of a very expensive car getting it's doors blown off by a Daewoo! lol).

Apart from the RS4 (great car, used to have one), you seem to like your turbos :-)

Nice collection!

Great eclectic collection! I'm not envious. Honest.

On the RS4 decoke, I wouldn't waste your money TBH. They coke up again within a few thousand miles, though if you take it to the red line regularly it might delay the inevitable smile

I had mine done at MRC last September. Carbon clean and remap. It went from 367 bhp to 427 and the drive there and back was like night and day! But I won't bother with a CC again.

Now get that Lotus out more biggrin
