Yeah, the RTTI is a bit hit n miss. Nowhere near as reliable as Google Maps/Wayze

How's the gear change? I have never been hugely impressed with BMW's manual gearboxes, but I haven't much experience with their recent efforts.

Lovely car and a lovely head turning colour too and I'd love one, brilliant write up and great to see it's a manual as well, it's the best thing BMW ever did dropping the torqueless/nothing happens until 6k rpm N/A V8 engine for me.

Mine's after only 3000 miles with a fault affecting the stop/start. Must be flummoxing the dealer, as they need it for a second day of diagnosis.

The gear change/clutch action on all Ms is a little awkward, but only in terms of always being able to make a smooth shift. 1st to 2nd can be challenging especially when the car's cold.

All (but one, terrible terrible 535i Auto) of my BMWs have been manual, so I'm used to the gearboxes. I like them - not always the easiest/smoothest, but very positive and the ratios are very well chosen.
