My LFA is finally ready.

Well done that man, you're certainly winning in life I'm sure there are lots of us reading this thread thinking hmm where did it go wrong in life
Anyways, the car - great choice the LFA, agree with the other chap that this will be a real [future] classic.
Love the engineering that has gone into the LFA, big deal if there are other cars faster this. It's a unique car with perhaps one of the best engines ever made - sounds amazing too.
With all the drive to more eco freindly cars/hybrids etc we may never see anything like this again.

Are you the same chap that bought the 250 to restore?
I am indeed, I was restoring it to raffle away to help kids with cancer but unfortunately I developed a brain tumour that halted me in my tracks. I stored it away and due to my memory I can’t actually remember where it is. I’m sure I’ll remember one day but for now it’s all a blur. I’ve still kept up my commitment with helping children with cancer and thanks to one of the Neville brothers (can’t remember which one as I’m not big into football) I get to use Hotel Football for all the charity events. I've seen an LFA on track and another on the road (I think the numberplate was LFA 1, the car was bright yellow), as others have said, they make an absolutely incredible noise. Should I somehow come into Euromillions type money, I'd go out and buy an AMG GT and a fast estate on day one (E63 or C7 RS6) and the next purchase would be an LFA. One can always dream....
I’ve just recently sold my AMG GTS Edition 1, good car but not great. I’d take the RS6 any day though, great choice SuperVM said:
Which one is your favourite?
A favourite? Hmm hard to answer as they all do something different. But if I was told I could only keep one car then it would have to be my Fiat 695 biposto tributo. I know I know...but it really is a fantastic little car, quick, nibble, manual, turbo’d and very light. Oh and carbon, lots and lots of carbon. I don’t think it’s about how much the car costs or how fast it is, I always go with how it makes you feel connected to the road.

OP, are you still friends with Stu M? Your collection of cars must rival his these days??
Yeah I think he’s winning with his LaFerrari and LaFerrari Aperta though. Glad to see the recovery from the brain job is done!!! Good luck for the future and will look forward to spotting the LFA around AE or or Stockton Heath!!

Part of me is sat here thinking this is the perfect time for a "Not sure if serious..." moment... If serious then first, fair play sir... second, brilliant... and third, what a great attitude!
Well done sir, well done!

Haha I can assure you I’m serious, I’d rather not be but unfortunately I am. I had a brain tumour as I was just starting my 250 restoration, I’ve only just returned to pistonheads after about 2 or so years hiatus. Anyway!!! Yeah I can’t remember where I put my car as that part of my brain was scrambled, but if I’m honest I rarely think about the car so I can’t be that bothered about it in the grand scheme of things. I’ve got plenty of others to play with but more importantly I’ve got a 2 year old (had her whilst I was recovering) that’s more precious to me than any car. It probably does sound like a fib but I’ve honestly got a 250 that I can’t remember where I put it. If serious then first, fair play sir... second, brilliant... and third, what a great attitude!
Well done sir, well done!

Yeah to say he’s a fanboi could be an understatement! That underground car park must be full now!!!

Thank you for your concern, very nice of you to remember me. I’ll make sure to give you a ride in the LFA when it gets delivered. Look out for it on instagram (no doubt it’ll be on there somehow) and message me, then I’ll sort out a meet up in Alderley. Glad to see the recovery from the brain job is done!!! Perhaps it’s time to launch the PistonHeads 250 hunt? It’s like an Easter egg hunt but the winner gets to help restore the 250!
Haha great idea. I’m just focusing on my current cars at the moment. Bought a Porsche CGT a few months ago and it’s still been at Porsche Reading having its clutch replaced and getting serviced, it’s these little things that are taking up most of my time. So yeah, I’ll just leave the 250 hunt to you guys. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
