Beautiful car. I have a massive soft spot for Jaguar in general, but this is something else.

I'm local to Chester myself so will have to keep an eye (or ear!) out for this.

In short irrelevant of what magazine or video test say I simply find Pzero lacking in confidence and absolute grip levels.
Couldn't agree more on the PZeros. Have them on my Mustang and thye have been a right PITA over the winter. Such unpredicatable handling, especially when cold/wet, can break traction with virtually no provokation. A different tyre in the warm/dry, grippy and confidence inspiring.

Going to tough out the rest of winter, enjoy spring/summer/autumn with them, and then get some PS4S for next winter.

Exactly what I did with my Mustang, I just survived on the Pzero during the first winter. Once I'd warn the rears out, which surprisingly only took 4000 miles I fitted MPSS all round and for me they were better than Pzero at everything, grip, handling, subjective feel and even better the rears lasted over 10,000 miles, over double distance and the car was way more confident inspiring in all weather particular wet and cold.

Hi there

Had the SVR professionally detailed yesterday by Oliver Sinclair owner of Driveby Detailing LTD in Stoke-on-Trent:

A full correction and 3 stage enhancement (paint cleanse, sealant & swissvax).

Just as the M3, over the moon with the results. smile

Looks almost too good to use. smile

I am one of those people (and I suspect there are a few on here) who have had cars that sit in the garage once they're in a 'showroom' condition of being highly polished. It's incredibly frustrating - I know I should drive them, but just can't bring myself to do so in anything other than ideal conditions. Crazy. But there we are.

Your Jag looks the business.

This gets driven every day. smile

Once this kind of paint correction is done, it can last upto 2yr before you need to do it again, after 18 months my Mustang was still swirl free.

Just make sure your washing and drying your car using correct techniques and products. Never let a dealership or car wash, wash your car.

Well after all the recent polishing and wax for the first time I truly got to see how the car looks in the sun today and boy does it look awesome, what a truly stunning car. Also it really turns heads as well being such a good looking car in such a bright colour.

Having just enjoyed seeing an SVR in Top Gear and of course pretty much my buddies Mustang also it only made sense to post up these images I took today. smile

Really enjoying this car and I think the small little styling tweaks have worked so well with the orange calipers, black wheel centres and lug nuts. smile

How does the handling and steering compare to the Mustang? I sold my Mustang as I found it pretty awful with total alck of steering feel. Shame as it was pretty good otherwise.

Hi there

Some pictures, car is not particular clean and tyres have the white gunk all over them, need to get some soap and give the tyres a good wash and then get some meguiars tyre black on the go, which is about the only tyre gel that seems to work on PS4S due to the fuzzy sidewalls they have.
Just as a tip I use autoglym spray dressing. Works well. I hate the Gel dressings now.
I have used them on my PS4 with fuzzy too. smile

Lovely car.

Hired a F Type V6S last March and drove it around the highlands, superb car, my only criticism was you can feel the weight of the car through the corners but otherwise was a blast, the V8 must be a blast. Looks gorgeous in Blue too.

My Mustang was highly modified, KW Clubsport coillover suspension, Ford Racing anti-roll bars, uprated bushings through. In the dry they would be hard to separate apart as the Mustang with the modifications was a real drivers car, RWD, V8, Manual it was like driving a heavier version of an E46 M3, similar good handling and balance with a higher level of grip but of course you could feel the extra weight in the Mustang. Long sweepers Mustang was very stable, tighter stuff the M3 could change direction faster.

The Jag by comparison has an incredible front-end, it is so eager to turn in, but that is helped by its shorter wheel base, it feels very pointy in comparison, but on longer sweepers it feels more alive and less planted, still getting used to the feeling of that.

In the wet however its a different game, the Jag and M3 will just destroy the Mustang on a British road in the wet, the Mustang was rather lairy in the wet and struggled to put the power down, whereas the M3 has incredible balance and feel, whilst the Jag just grips and goes.

I had a V6S for a day, lovely car and rather playful on the limit, the SVR like the V6S also feels heavy but its grip levels are higher than the V6S so you can cover ground quite quickly, but the car feels alive, it can do it but you feel like you might die, which is kind of a good thing, makes the car fun at all speeds and not just flat out.

Where the SVR and V8 come into their own is the power delivery is just savage, the V6S to me felt more like 300HP rather than 380HP, whereas the V8 feels very much the 550-600HP Jag quote, as the torque is instant and it just goes.

As a road car it is truly a fantastic all round, yes a 911, Cayman would be quicker I feel on a technical road and most definitely quicker on a race circuit, but as a car to use everyday and have huge power you can use every day in all weathers the F Type excels at that, whilst still feeling very alive, it never feels numb or to confident inspiring due to how Jag have the AWD system setup to deliver 90% to the rear tyres unless traction limited, hence it feels very rear wheel driven and keeps you mindful on corner entry.
