My 1.0 Eco Boost Mountune is faster than a gt86. Look nice but under-powered. Beat loads of them at traffic lights.

Reckon my Dads old Citreon C2V would be quicker as well.

Well it’s the fact you seem to think the difference is all the car & a BRZ is easily a match for a DC2 tbh. Let’s not get carried away....

The Integra appears to pull away fairly readily with a decent exit to me. Braking & corner entry you are more committed than him- as simple as that. Swings/Roundabouts

To get the thread back on track, nice car, sensible mods. Bet it is an absolute blast to drive.

Not as good as a DC40 Dyson though.

And my fiesta would ruin it.

I can imagine, what is the power delivery like?

Not quite sure what's going on with this thread, but hey - nice to see F2 TSS back again. It was a proper weapon the various times I saw it running in the Toyota Sprint Series while it was still naturally aspirated, so it must be a blast with 400bhp! hehe

Are you tempted to take it sprinting again?

Not very subtle, going to be remapped after the engine is rebuilt to get the boost to come in slightly smoother. That being said, once you're at 4k rpm, the power delivery is pretty smooth. So on track, it's not a massive issue. However on road, getting into boost can be spikey (But very fun! biggrin).

No plans to take it sprinting as of yet, just track days for now (Just offers way better value for money). I am debating entering UK Time Attack, but we'll see where the car is a few months down the line! smile

Big fan of some old school power delivery! Have you got any more videos of it?

Unfortunately the on board of the PHSS track session is the only video I've got! Hopefully will have it up and running for Snetterton at the end of Feb 🤞

Looking really good.
I have a couple of RX8’s and the GT86/BRZ are a very close modern equivelant with similar handling.
Both drive really well but are even nicer with increased power!
Bet yours with 400hp is something special. Loveing your mods.

looks pretty cool but still much rather have my stage 4.5 fiesta st ecoboost for half the price, better power AND handling - doesn't break down after every track day too laugh

Exactly! and if you slam it on bags and add a Zele wing it makes an utter weapon.

I've always been tempted by an RX8, so much car for the money these days! But yes 400hp does make it go like a scolded rat! laugh

Certainly faster than a lot of things in a straight line, but most importantly in the twisties and on the brakes is where this thing really shines smile

Hey TTR - car looks great - definately better than the crappy fiesta washing machine wink

Really hoping they are just trolling - if not its quite sad.

How easy is it to up the performance on the standard motor and can you share roughly what sort of cost you need for what sort of performance increase?

Seen a few of these coming down in price so looks like an idealy candidate for a bit of tweaking.

They are trolling, fortunately haha.

If you're looking to stay N/A, then you can gain about 10% at the top end for around £1500. That would pretty much consist of a new manifold, a remap and an air filter. But the more impressive gains with N/A tuning really come in the midrange where people have gained 30hp/40lbft of Torque. Makes a hell of a difference to how lively the car feels! Gives it a fair bit more urgency and motorway pull for daily driving.

Anything more than that and you'd be looking at Turbo/Supercharging which typically net you a 50% increase in power (280hp-300hp). For that kind of boost (no pun intended) you'd be parting way with about £4500-£6500 depending on what kit you choose. That being said, second hand Turbo kits and Superchargers do tend to pop up every now and then ranging from £2000-£3500 smile
