Hi guys,

Been a while since I've been to any PistonHeads meetings, but looking to get back into weekend drives now that work has eased off.

The car itself I'm finally happy with, recently sorting the clutch and box rebuild. Just waiting for May and July for the next Nurburgring trips, which it's pretty much reduced to doing due to time constraints these days.

Cheers,

Al

Looks like fun! I don't recognise the rear diff cover...

I'm at the Ring from the 6th-10th July, but flying over in May to stay with a friend to watch the VLN.

The diff cover is custom, but the diff itself is a MK3 Toyota Supra 3.73 LSD with a Weir Performance kit inside. But mounted on a 6 degree fully adjustable rear beam. Very trick stuff smile

Very nice! Nice build for sure.

I have some MK stuff on my Fiesta - is he still going?

For sure. Some have had a few difficulties, but that's not my business. But I wouldn't have anyone else work on my car, his stuff is epic.

You can put me in that category as well, but yes - his work is superb.

200 block, T34.63, Light blues, Pectel/SCS management and if you believe rolling roads, did 394bhp and similar torque. Seems about right for this tried and tested setup. Built for more, though I'm not interested in that anymore, more the full package which it is smile

Looks very nice and nice to see it's still going as I remember it from my rsoc days a few years back mainly in the mk1 focus rs section.

That on the face of it looks like a tidy Mk1 Focus, but that is something really special on closer inspection.

Lovely build. What's the gearbox?

Can't wait to get my own cossie back on the road.

Mega sleeper, I love it....

Without being rude, was it mega bucks to get done ?

Ive long hankered after a RWD Ford Racing Puma, doesnt even need huge Cossie power......

Probably over the past 11 years, but I just keep all receipts and don't add them up laugh

The gearbox is a standard Borg Warner T5, best compromise really for a mix of driving. Considered an Elite Sequential, but it would just be a ballache in the long run. So had the box fully rebuilt in January, so should be good for another 30 years now smile

@ Turn7

I love the Racing Puma. Did you see the full carbon one that was on ebay not long ago? That would have been a nice project, full on 4x4 or RWD. But tbh I wouldn't do it to a genuine Racing Puma, just do what the Gibbs boys did as SCS and modify the engine so it's like the Super 1600 used to be. Easily achieve over 200bhp on that engine without a turbo.
