So having got rid of my old trusty S8 for something more economical I bought a wonderful A5 3.0tdi quattro Sport.

but despite the great fuel economy and good performance something was missing... yup another 2 cylinders...

so far the other half hasn't noticed I've changed the car... she did comment it sounds different, I said the exhaust was broken...

I did the same when changed a 3.2 Touareg for Cayenne Turbo. It took a couple of days for her to realize something was afoot with the engine

Nice car. I´ve always loved the design of the pre-facelift S5. Have you got the manual or the auto?

Although when new they had pretty average reviews, now these hold a huge appeal for me which I think is mainly the V8. What an awesome cruiser.

I've had one of these for the last 4 years, still can't bring myself to replace it as it still makes me smile every time I drive it.

Red leather! cool

I had one of these in manual, loved it. The V8 sounded very nice not too shouty but loud enough to enjoy.

These and the A8/S8 are the only two Audi's I like. They just look so right, your example especially.

I never remember which one is the more powerful.. the "S" or the "Rs"? Not that it matters, both look the business..

Easy to remember - more letters = more power. S is faster, RS is faster!

Does this S5 have the V8 with the dodgy chain tensioner? Was vaguely looking at these but horror stories held me back!

I looked at a couple of black and red leather S5's... loved the red leather, but i fancied a grey and couldn't find one with red leather sadly....
Mines cream leather... but if i find a set of red leathers on the bay... i might be tempted
