Nice, 20's???

Are you on standard height springs or you lowered?

I want to put lowering springs, then put spacers on to fill the arches better.... Then redo the powdercoating on the wheels....

Yes, 20” - which were a standard option available to all A5s I believe. I just really like the look of this wheel.

The suspension is all standard and I’ll keep it that way as I like the OEM look.

Are they genuine or aftermarket?

so it seems my Saturday is now pre-planned and it's bound to fking rain to stop me fixing it...

Intake manifold flap; Bank 1
P2008 electrical malfunction

early S5's had a different intake manifold to the later, so electrical operation of the flaps, rather than vacuum as on the later ones so the fix will be different.

The code would be similar to P2004, P2005, P2006, P2007 in that either your flaps on either bank 1 or 2 are stuck open, or closed respectively.....

is it a case of manifold off to actually see what is broken, i.e. the plastic flaps have disintegrated or is it a controlling motor externally that has let the smoke out and is fubar?

Anyone had anything similar on the same age S5?

Currently i'm at this stage...

I see one of these most days on my commute - he has moved his number plate to be on the bonnet above the grill

It makes a lovely noise as he goes the opposite direction.

I've got spacers on mine. You wouldn't really notice but when you see a side by side shot like this they look weirdly far in as standard.

Yes. With a 15mm spacer on the front and 20mm spacer on the rear.

do you have a side on view please? i'm curious on the aesthetics of the air gap with spaced wheels on stock suspension.

No problem

Can't remember if I'd driven it after this but sure it wouldn't have settled much. I've thought about lowering it over the years but the ride is already pretty harsh as standard, plus it already scrapes on a lot of speed bumps.

Looks alright that does, sometimes when putting spacers on cars with standard suspension they can look like a monster truck.

In other news, my P2008 fault code....

Audi would have just stuck a new Inlet Manifold on as per the "repair" procedure.....

Loom repair kit ordered, as have smaller hands!!!!!

As i had 10 minutes to kill at lunch i thought i'd stick some of the LED's in.

as said before and by others, very impressed with the service from Trups. All parts very well made and clearly labelled.

So i managed to get the 4no map reading lights in and the centre dome done, perfect colour.

the camera does not do them justice, and the light is nicely diffused behind the lens.
Just need this bloody rain to stop and i'll fit the rest, sod work...!!!

exactly them... i added reverse and number plate LED's

I have the lighting pack as standard, but Trups will tailor the kit to your car, he also offers LED front fogs (which i didn't go for yet)

fixed and all sorted, love it when it's an easy (read cheap) fix...!!! Intake flaps are now all flappy again

Also got some more of the LED's fitted, reverse ones aren't working properly, they come on then go out and through a code. Waiting on a response from Trup's
Just the red door warning and puddle lights to do, if it ever stops raining.

Fingers crossed i can get the new brake lines on tomorrow....

Just glancing at Autotrader I had no idea of used starting prices for these — to think some Ph elect an old E46 M3 over this is bizarre.

Do people supercharge or turbocharge these lovely N/A V8’s for extra horses
